I wear a 9 in old skools and most other vans but I've heard the SPV's are a half size bigger than normal Vans. Any truth to this? Thanks for the help.

^ apparently frank is too old to handle a vulc sole shoe.

If your looking for a thin shoe, which I have to imagine you are if your looking at that shoe, then this is the one. I had em and love the shit out of em.

Definitely size down half a size, but this whole thread could be avoided if you just went to your local shop and tried em on... Roll Eyes

Same for me.  I got insane heel bruising skating flat in them. Ive never had a shoe do that to me before and I skate vulcanized/thin shoes all the time.

i had three pairs and loved them. i didn't size down or anything at all, but i'm flat footed so that may have affected my fit. i'd recommend the shoes for sure, they are fucking rad and they are really thin.

Ya if there was a local shop that had them I'd get em. But.... closest one that has them is two hours away. I'd be spending almost $20 in gas to drive down Richmond, VA to try them on. Trust me, I support shops, the exception being shoes and pants.

i usually get a 9 in most of my shoes, but i like a really really snug fit so i went a full size down in the SPVs.  they were painful as fuck and i had to take em off to rest my feet the first day breaking em in, but since then they've been fitting me pretty well. half size down would probably work for you.

I got them in my normal size and laced them up really tight, perfect fit.
