He has been at the helm for so long and his vision and aesthetic have defiantly steered the company to where they are today.

Rumours of his departure can only spell worrying times ahead to my mind.

Anyone have any more info?

None other than I use to skate all the time with him in 95/96.  Cool dude and best of luck to him in his endeavors.

shed a single tear

Holy shit no kidding.

That really sucks for blueprint, and by the sounds of that it sucks for Dan too.

To hear that his declining involvement with the brand has coincided with its weird Americanization in recent years is really sad , I can only hope that they can regain their direction as the pinnacle of what is quintessentially British about skateboarding.

tear shed...fingers crossed.

No wonder there hasn't been too much going on after the video.
I hope Blueprint will pull it together after Dan.

Such a bummer for Dan and Blueprint, but all good things have to end sometime. hopefully Bluey can pull there shit together but this might also leave a small gap for folk like Crayon, Landscape, Harmony et al. Good luck Dan and thanks for the visuals

Lost and Found was basically the first video that introduced "style" and quality not quantity when it comes to skate videos. Here's to Magee...

I loved that video so much, but most people in it did have two song parts and it was like an hour long, so... Wink

that's a real shame. it's funny that during the last couple of years (magee's hiatus) blueprint has tried, and succeeded (?), to get more mainstream, which blows for the people who remember the old, raw videos like first broadcast and wftw.

I thought he'd already left. Yeah, R.I.P. Blueprint. First Broadcast forever.
JUMP SHIP BOYS!
Jensen to Palace, send the yanks back to some US program. Brady to Stereo or habitat etc perhaps.

While Dan leaving is a huge bummer, there have been plenty of good things coming out of that camp since MFWTCB.

I'm sure several graphics that you thought were by Dan, were in fact not.

Most of the guys have had coverage from other sponsors, they did skate and create, and a few tours in which vids have dropped.

again, dan leaving sucks, but he's not the first art director to leave a brand.

I expect good things to happen with that group no matter what it may be.

good luck to Dan and Paul

you've honestly got to be kidding me if you don't think they can keep pushing through. the brand has had an even bigger presence then ever across the seas, which i'm sure isn't exactly hurting them in the least bit. dan magee leaving sucks, but blueprint will survive

Can not hate on Kevin Lowry, or even Coakley for that matter, a Canadian ripper and an OIAM allumnus.

I personally dont like Marty Mura-spelling error-kawski on the team as amazing as he is. Its more the general direction, the fact that Now Shier is running things they are in effect based out of the states.

It just dont feel right, I know they are still doing big things post MFWTCB, I just hope they dont loose there position as the only board company who were able to support internationaly respected professionals and afford them the opportunity to remain in the UK.

Agree with everything.  I hope they can keep delivering on the music front too.  Blueprint videos have always been close to the top with music and editing.
