Just moved and it took 7 days to set up the new shit, but it got me thinking about how long I've gone without it in the last few years and curious to see how many of us dweebs depend on this shit.

Longest for me was 5 or 6 months a few years back, was couch surfing at some dives. I keep a steady supply of books, art supplies, weed, and dvd's on hand to keep my entertained. To be honest, when I didn't have it or cable TV, I didn't miss it much. It's a total convenience and nice to have, but not all the time necessary. Also spent a lot more time skating to the library and working on shit I normally put off.

So I pose the question to my fellow Slap dudes, what's the longest you've gone without the inturdwebz?

PS.... obviously there was a point in time where it wasn't as easy to have it or get it (i.e. 80's/early 90's) so you could say years, but I'm speaking in a current frame of time.

i just went a year without internet because i couldn't afford it. The Truth is you don't even miss it at all, I could live without internet and television and get on with my life completely fine, and shit to be honest i think living without television and the internet makes you more of a human being.    (i say this because growing up i lived in a rural area where the internet wasn't even available so me and my brother had no choice but to play in the forests around our house for our amusement. kids these days are so fucked on what they are going to miss out on due to a technology addiction)

The only downfall of not having the internet really is not being able to fuck face book hoes, lurk slap, and watch pirated skate videos ohh and porn.

i need to do emails for my job so when i dont work during summertime i slow down on it, weekends at a friends cottage are usually the longest droughts in my internet usage.  the same could be said for jerking it but my job doesn't depends on that so too bad

I went almost a month w/o internet because my 2008 mac book pro's logic card died(common problem for that model).  There was no way that I could afford another one so I was miserable as hell.  I tried to tell myself that I didn't need it, but that was all a lie.  There's no way in hell I could live without it ever.  Luckily my work bro'd down on a refurb version of my old one, but two weeks before that a friend hooked me up with an old power book.  I never want to ever be without my best friend in the world again....

Travelling and trying to save money, only went to the internet cafe 5 or 6 times in 4 months. Also one of those times was in a super cheap cafe, and I got a computer kinda in the corner. Hadn't seen porn in a few months, and don't think I'd jacked my dick off for a couple months.so I tried to keep it low key, turns out I barely even had to nudge it(weiner) through my jeans, instant cream city all over the place.no one saw as far as I know, people were only 2 or 3 feet away too.

a few days ago my internet conked out for a little bit and that was a scary couple of hours.

in the last few years it has probably been a week, when i went away on a holiday. or a few days i spent in hospital. I find i really do get withdrawls if i go to long. its like an addiction. its really handy to have the worlds information a few key strokes away and i've become so used to looking up any info i want at anytime i get really frustrated when i cant.

During one summer, about just once a week - might've gone a week and a half to two at some point, but roughly maintaining this point. I was in Mexico and had to trek to get a connection - the internet really pales in being an interesting place to go to when you allow yourself some distance from feeling compelled to check it all the time. Forums, and just general places where I have to type shit, are what keep me from being pretty satisfied with just checking my email on my phone 3-4 times a day.

That sound brings back memories of playing duke nukem 3D against my brother russian friend Jevgen. The game crashed 8/10 times before even getting to play it. It was pretty intense.

Two weeks. Last year. It was awesome. I came back and everything was new. There were videos on the front page of porn sites that I'd never seen. It was incredible.

Since around '98 I've been working online... outside of plane trips to DC or SF, the longest has only been a couple of days immediately after Katrina. First day back on I built a hurricane-related website in a coffee house before being a truck driver for the red cross.

Can't say I missed it because there was just so much shit to do, but I hate having unread emails and it took me a couple of days to get to all of them.

I can halfway relate to Dontfearthereefer 'cause I don't watch TV (except for The Walking Dead when it's on). Not a TV snob or anything (we have one in nearly every room of the house) I just get my brain rot online.
