I was worried whether or not he'd bring it all together.
This and the Almost video made me want to see some Rodney footage.

I love how every time he talks about a trick he gets so hyped. Amazing.

My college experience would have been that much better if I had speakers like Rodney.

Pretty far ahead of his time. People still can't do a lot of his shit. He seems so far out there. Inspiring.

It's amazing just how brilliant Rodney is. I'm thankful to have him as an ambassador or prime minister of sorts for skateboarding. He's kind of our figurehead in many ways that Tony Hawk isn't. I always wonder though, what he could have accomplished in academia or something if he didn't keep pursuing skateboarding.

I work like 5 blocks from there and was wondering the same thing. Of course, news of USC events tends not to make it past certain streets...

.

It was kind of awkwardly written, with it seeming to not have any direction at first, but by the end he brought together some cool points. I was hoping he would go more into the creation and context thing, but the group dynamic thing he brought up at the end was spot on.
You know, another group like the one he mentioned is probably our beloved photoshoppers. Take what Dill gave them, make it better, and return it to the community, then the community improves on those ideas until we all are pissing in our pants with laughter. God bless the slap photoshoppers.

um doesn't he have a masters degree or at least BSc in biophysics from ucla? thought i saw it in a short doc on his life that's floating around

He's mentioned the hacking comparison before....I gotta get around to reading his book.  It's rad he's articulating all this stuff...he's given more to skateboarding more than possibly anyone.....from the boards you ride, to the tricks you do, to the companies you like...
