Remember when Nick Trapasso had an interview when he was on Toy and Vans and said he'd rather ride for "OG companies" instead of The Swoosh, then quit and rode for Cons, a Nike subsidiary?

Never thought Kalis would leave Alien Workshop.

Never thought Monster would have guys like Ramondetta or Ishod on their payroll

Never thought Dickies would have a skate team, but I'm glad they finally do.

Yeah that one kind of makes sense. I'm surprised Levi's don't too. Enough skaters wear them both.

I wonder how many people in this thread have purchased a pair of Nike SB shoes.

I can honestly say I have never had a pair of Nike SB's.

Monster and Faygo should be stocked in the same cooler section.  Representing Monster is pretty high on the list of hands-to-ankles for money moves...

Lance Mountain on Flip is the worst combination I can think of.
Burnquist on Flip is still strange as well.

Also, to me Lenoce never really fit on Baker.

nike, cons and adidas are no shock to me since ive been skating since the 80's. but nearly every company andy mac, sheckler and lutzka endorse surprise me. but i gets its different w/ andy mac bc hes a vert guy and he has to hustle for sheckler and lutzka's endorsement scraps.

Remember the boost mobile skate team? It had Reynolds....

Jason Dill's stint on etnies was weird too, he belongs on vans.

Weren't Guy and Koston only on for a really, really short amount of time before bailing? I didn't know they even made it into an ad

Ten years ago....

Anyone - Nike, Adidas, Converse.??
Even though they had a skate program that started well before that?

Ok, you're right if you want to be that specific. Didn't Bam ride for Nike before 2000? You know what I was trying to say.
Sorry, guess I should have said twenty years ago.

adidas had a interesting program with the gonz, matt beach, lance mountain, paulo diaz and i think jamal williams in the late 90s. with some weird ads.
Adidas got on board early on and went about it a smart way by picking ambassadors like Lance and Gonz. They were around when skating wasn't cool and supported projects like Fruit of the Vine.

Newhamster, no need to get defensive buddy. Just saying that Adidas unlike the other two have been in it for a while now and didn't just come in full bore when shit was marketable. When you lump them altogether and say 10 years ago, one can only assume you're not aware of this.

There is more Bieber coverage on Slap than one would expect from a bunch of manboys arguing the minutiae of rollerboard stunts. Actually now that I type that it kinda makes sense.

That makes a little bit more sense to me, Girl teams are generally a pretty diverse group of dudes. Can you imagine a mega ramp part in Photosynthesis?

Yeah, I guess there is also the Plan B connection with Colin on Girl. I don't know, it just out of place to me.
A Danny Way part in the middle or at the end of one of their videos would've been really odd. Kind of like Mike Frazier thrown in the middle of Tincan Folklore. Nothing against Mike, he rips, but he didn't really seem to fit the rest of the team.
