I like the commentary part. Making new issues is truly pointless, as others mentioned in this thread. But I definitely would enjoy new OnVideo style video articles on famous spots, videos that left impact on skateboarding... etc. Skateboarder personalties already are covered by Epicly Later'd.

and i definitely would enjoy new "shop industry" or just "industry"-sections.

cinematographer just came out

What i really want them to do is package internet footage. theres so much that just gets lost in time without some packaging involved. Maybe A "best footage of the month" or compiling internet footage of specific skaters for an issue. They could even get that skaters sponsors to front the money or raw footy to make it happen. Hella clips and skate.ly archive the footage but no one is really curating it or giving context to any of the clips.

Slap sort of does that but not in a good fashion. Its something i wished slaps digital magazine would do but this place really stopped being about the articles a long time ago.

Also the other issue is that every magazine/company has taken aspects of 411vm and integrated it into their own web presence. Being tied to skateboarder mag means its giving that mag a way to compete with the other magazines insanely consistent footy production. thrasher and transworld particularly. And not to mention the fucking berrics. Those guys have pretty much done a lot of variations on things 411vm did in the past.

Im rooting for 411 but its got a lot going against it. They could really be the best if they wanted to. Actually the digital version of slap could be the best shit ever if they wanted to too but nobody's trying.

I can't stop watching all of these old ones I used to have.  Thank you so much whoever uploaded and organized all of these!

I actually did hit another skater in the face with my shoe once at a demo doing a shoes fly off kickflip but he was cool with it.

Just going to leave this here...
Rhythm Industry Small | Large

This was always one of my favorite sections growing up. If you are too impatient to watch the whole thing, go to 3:24 to see Jerry Fowler's immaculate style.
