I the span of about 1 year LegoLand became became an iconic spot and definite must hit when traveling through Texas. Now it's gone. I just want to extend a heartfelt FUCK YOU to the city for taking a piece of art and turning it to rubble.

I have a couple tricks in this clip, starting about 10 seconds in.
Lego land

Thanks for the memories...

Psycho ditch really bummed me out, found out it was demolished when I went to session it for the first time.

A month or so ago the under the bridge spot off Slaughter (I think) got flattened too. Hopefully they'll stay well away from 5-hips, knock on wood, and hopefully the pentagon slab will be around for a bit but that place doesn't compare to alien pod or lego land.

With DIY spots it's usually only a matter of time so skate 'em while you got 'em.

That fucking blows man, I honestly see no harm in letting people enjoy a piece of land that would otherwise just sit there.

Sucks you never got to go, you'd see how rough the place was and truly appreciate the footage you see there, the spot is gnarlier than it looks. But don't stress man, Austin has a lot to offer any skater. There will never be another legoland but there are other DIY spots, and thankfully a lot of guys who like laying down quikcrete.

Welcome to Austin. Drop by Apparition skate shop sometime. Friendly bunch that can direct you to spots and introduce you to the local skate community. Actually have a little crew meeting there this Sunday to go skate downtown. PM me if you might want to come along.

Are you in Texas? I did some post stalking before replying and saw you're from Canada but if you're in Austin come by the shop Sunday at noon, we're heading out shortly after. 119 E. North Loop Blvd, Austin, TX, 79751

The only thing I can't promise is a ride, I'm not driving and not sure there will be car space that's not already spoken for but if you have a car you can follow in that would solve that.
