today i saw a longboarder fall while riding across the street.  His board rolled back into traffic and got driven over where it shattered in half.  It was amazing

Couldn't they have at least gotten someone who didn't push like a 10 year old?

In some cases, I kinda do.  Don't get me wrong, most of them look lame as fuck, but credit where credit is due.  I've never gone as fast as some of these long boarders have.

even when im driving alone, or with a girl or sombody who doesnt skate, i take the time to slow down and yell "long board is the wrong board"

the like to ride down the 6 degree incline street near my house then like barell roll into a lawn.

I don't think I've ever seen a longboarders that pushed with fluidity. Maybe that's what inspired the birth of the street paddle...

Hahaha! Glad I wasn't sipping when I saw that.

I'm cool and/or indifferent with longboarding (we don't really have a longboard cult scene where I am) but the last time I saw any it was pretty hilarious... me and a couple of other guys were hauling ass in Venice looking for the skate park and we passed one herd of dudes skating those longboards that are way lower in the center, higher at the ends (no nose or tail), then after that we passed up two or three more randoms on our way. I'm sure they'd leave us in the dust on a big hill, but these cats were struggling on flat.

Related to the video... those wheels look silly when they get bouncy down the stairs. Absolutely ridiculous.

Unrelated- anyone remember the shitty "longboard mega ramp?"

That second video had me laughing too.

After a few years of trying to get my young nephew stoked on skateboarding (buying him boards, videos, Vans), my sister bought him a longboard this summer. So fucking disappointing.

would've been kind of excited to see this myself. i'm actually surprised that those things do break though, with all that flexy carbon whatever shit they have in there to help them get that impromptu trampoline double usage out of it.

i'm always very amused when some bright spark comes along with an idea they think will revolutionize skateboarding. but its even more amusing when no one buys into it and it fails.

walking down the stairs looks smoother than riding this.

At least some hard working engineers got paid i guess.....?

Minus the gay longboarding around with bro glasses and that video would have been a great cityscape video. They went some sick places.

because canadian skaters have no personality and the only people who will buy the boards are there friends and mom
