i just noticed the ad on the side of the forum for lib tech skateboards, looked them up and low and behold they are back at it. i had one of these bad boys about a decade ago, and it just wouldn't fucking die. it eventually turned into a sharp, pointy, chipped fucking fibreglass weapon when it wore down. had to get 5 stitches on my thumb when i quickly picked it up at that point.

i'd never buy one again, but i'm interested to see if they'll actually make a team or if anyone will pay any sort of attention to them this time around.

edit:

this guy apparently rides for them, his nose is taken up by fkd, wonder where the lib tech one is going?

Well if they keep charging $75 for a deck they aren't going to be going anywhere fast. And the weird fiberglass shit was so bad years ago.

Dont think they ever stopped, just didn't do very well and with all the snowboard money they just kept making a few for there team/buddies and any unfortunate snow shop that thought it would be a good idea to sell skateboards

if drugs didn't influence the decision to cover his whole face in ink, i'd like to know what would make a sober mind do such a thing.

calling it a comeback implies that they have been a skateboard company at some point, which clearly never happend.

probably about three months? i hadn't been skating too long at that point, so i probably did a lot of dumb shit to get it into that state. i was mostly concerned about the slick bottom to help me out with my slappy noseslides without using wax. had tensors on there too, deadly combo.

a board is going to be pretty shitty over time regardless of 'how skilled' you are. i would not want to have the same board for a long ass time, fresh boards, actually after they've been skated once or twice for me, can't be beat. i generally skate two boards a month, maybe one if it's shitty outside for an extended period of time.
