Y'all need to get the fuck over yourselves and out of here with this shit. First off, you apparently missed the joke. Second, the largest group of people who gets upset about this shit is upper-middle class white people. If I called any of my black friends "African-American" I'd get clowned. To most people saying "black" is as harmless as "blonde" or "dude with the red hat." Could you imagine a couple [insert preferred ethnic descriptor referring to people with high levels of melanin] guys saying something like "it's so disrespectful to say "white," you should call him an "Anglo-Caucasian-American?" Just a curious American here.  What do people in other countries call people of African decent who move there?  Are there African-Swedes, African-Japanese, etc.?  I know there are a lot of people from other countries on SLAP.  When I've been abroad it seems like people say either black, African, or the person's actual home country (Nigerian, Kenyan, etc) if they know them well.

AVE rules.  I can't remember what mag, but the interview where he talks about him and Guy getting sober together is awesome.  He comes across as someone who thinks out his answers to questions and has the mental ability to express them.  The opposite of many Pros and Ams today with the "Whoo, piled out, hail satan, homies!"

If you're born in American you're American to me simple as that, I also don't consider it a luxury to refer to myself as something, a luxury to me is something you have to work and pay for. Then again I guess just being born in America instead of a third world country is a luxury so maybe there's something too what you're saying but as always I don't think we agree completely. Anyway it doesn't matter because the dude was obviously joking.
