5 songs and the skaters that should use them.  Enjoy and complain about what I didn't include!

nice one HATE!

on a side commentary: I still think this song had the potential to be synchronized perfectly as the huf part, but instead RB fucked everything up (as the rest of that video)

Totally with this.  I'm always itching to hear some more jazz in video parts.

With regards to the mention of that Exodus song sucking, I actually like it now that Ramondetta skated to it simply because of how much I like his skating.  That's something that happens to me all the time; I hear music that normally I wouldn't be that into or I think is ridiculous and I end up loving it in spite of myself because of the good associations I have with it - for example, when I was younger I totally didn't give hip hop a chance until I saw Yeah Right and heard those Ghostface and Royal Flush beats and the skating involved with them was so good I just started to like the beats more and more.  This phenomenon has probably ended up shaping my musical taste on the whole more than anything else.

At any rate, good job on the article dude.

Hahahaha.  Oh, dear.  My opinions should not be taken seriously.  It would be funny if it happened though.  On an unrelated note, somebody either has old ground beef in a garbage near my desk or I've been sitting in a cloud of someone elses shit fumes all day.

Every time I listen to "Guillotine" I always think about how perfect it would be in a skate video. But for real like I mentioned in the other thread someone skating to "Glaciers of Ice" would change my life.

Actually, it was between those two and "Winter Warz".  Cappadonna's verse is one of the best verses in hip hop of all time.  My gut said Guillotine though, probably just because I've wanted that one in a skate video, literally since the day I first the album, 17 years ago (holyfuck!)

Yep.

Ellington's new shoe Supra video has him skating to an EMINEM track, a day I thought would never come.  Anything's possible.

Of course, the day my article gets published, the DC edition of "Bum Rush The Spot" comes out with a fucking Artifacts song which makes me think of about 25 more songs, immediately.

My record collection is vastly metal, probably about 75% of it, with the remaining percentage being jazz, hip hop, country and some miscellaneous.  But when it comes to street skating, I just think jazz and hip hop go best.  Not saying people haven't put out some great shit to other songs, hell The Kid skating to Charlie Daniels Band in Label Kills is a personal favorite.

Thanks, I've been wanting to see this again, but never remember when I actually have time to watch it.  Made me wonder if Chaz ever gets sad that'll he never have a part this good.  Probably right up until he cashes that next paycheck.

There are a few Superchunk songs that haven't been used also.

Exactly what kinda mathy bands are you thinking of?  I always wished more videos had old noise rock like Jesus Lizard, Cows, Unsane, Hammerhead and Fudge Tunnel.  Basically anyone on Amphetamine Reptile back in the 90s.  It'd work better with a grimier team though.

noise rock is cool too, although I haven't really listened to any of the old ones.  Didn't Emerica make a No Age shoe a while back?
And as far as which math rock bands, it all depends on who's skating to it.  All my favorite math rock bands are Japanese though.

Here's one I've been stoked on for a while

By all means, man.  That's sorta the point with the articles I write.  I just like writing about the same shit I'd sit on a curb and laugh about with my friends after a session.
