Says it in his interview in the new Skateboard Mag. Do you think he quit because Rob wants him to ride for Dc?

I would never quit Vans to ride for anything else, free Vans would be the shit. Dude's blowing it. I could definitely see Gravis and Analog though, he seems like a perfect fit for them.

Besides that (a Life Splicing part) are you other sponsors telling you they're going to be making videos?
Well, the only thing I ride for right now is Workshop and Pawnshop.

I thought you ride for Eswic?
I just quit. Which was really rough because I love Jimmy Arrighi, but I made my decision and just did it. It sucks.

What was behind that decision?
It has nothing to do with the brand or anything. I just don't want to ride for anyone. I just quit Vans too. I just wasn't feeling the whole thing, so I'm just going to ride for Workshop and the skateshop and hopefully something else works out.

What weren't you felling about Vans?
It's more just like... I don't know, I rode for Vans for a while and I basically just quit. That was it.

Were they not doing enough for you?
No, a few weird things happened. I just want to keep it mellow and say I quit.

He's on Nike and Nike Apparel. Vans never put him fully on after they'd been telling him they were going to put him on for awhile. I guess he just got tired of hearing all these broken promises and seeing a bunch of dudes get on before him.

way to become another faceless notch on the nike roster.
when your on a team with 40+ dudes it gets pretty hard to stand out.
the plan b of shoe brands. boring.

I am sure his connections with Alien is what is going to make him stand out. Not Nike.

Gravis and Analog would make my life, him and Dylan would be a sick ass combo. And they already have the Workshop connection, I can definitely see this happening.

It is so refreshing to hear of a young buck down to just ride for the companies he's down with and fuck the rest.
The young'uns now usually sign on the line of the biggest dollar sign, no matter what the brand is really associated with, and that's that.
I don't know the back story of the "few weird things", but I'm still stoked to see him sticking to his guns.  I like this kid.

How is this kid so "in demand" right now? For being so young and not even having had a full legit part yet, I must say, I'm impressed.

I felt the same way, then I saw the interviews with Dill and AVE singing the kids praises. Even if you don't like the specific styles they represent, you know they don't endorse someone lightly. I have to wonder how they feel about him leaving vans for nike though...

If what someone else said is right, and they never put him fully on like they said they would, then hey, Vans' loss. I hate hearing about shady shit like that...stereo not paying people has all but guaranteed ill never buy anything from them.
