wondering what kind of suggestions you guys have for places to go?

i went there years ago and did all the stupid shit (times square, etc...) and hung out at Manitoba's a lot. this time i'm going to be staying in Jersey with my gf and i'm looking for cool skate shops/clothing stores, food, bars, etc. in New York.

any help would be appreciated. thanks!

not skateboarding but food related, try this food cart if you get a chance. its open form 8pm to like 4am, long lines for some bomb ass food! i am not sure if you're a carnivore or not but if you are check it out. good NY street food!

if you're taking the Raritan Valley line into Manhattan you should just skate Newark instead.

but after that you should just skate down Manhattan from Penn Station... as far as shops Autumn is gone now Sad but there is always Supreme NYC on Lafayette street in the Soho neighborhood, a cool spot to check out if you haven't been. there are a lot of nice shops/clothing stores in that area as well as food. for good inexpensive sandwiches check out Olive's on Prince Street. only a few blocks over from Supreme. you can then skate east and check out the newly renovated Lower East Side skatepark.

awesome guys thanks!

we're staying in Creskill, which is where my girlfriend is from.  like 20 minutes outside of manhattan i believe.

probably won't have time to do too much skating but i'll try to sneak some in.

Dave's Quality Meats (DQM) is pretty much a boutique shoe shop. Its very close to Supreme, street level/basement north side of 4th street just a bit east of Bowery.
