So my friend wants me to move to Charleston with him which, I don't really want to do, but I was checking out this new Downtown park they have planned and found this gem in the comment section:

"After hearing about the recent outbreaks in Miami, Florida, I am very worried that this skatepark will become a haven for skateboarder punks to get hooked on bath salts and potentially poison our youth of Charleston. Also, it could prove to be a center stage for drugs and gang violence in the downtown area. I saw a movie called "Point Break" that was based on nazi surfers that robbed banks for a living, and I don't want to see this type of scenario happen with the youth of Charleston that dabble in extremist sports."

If you decide to call that skatepark home you should show up with a group and skate the park in Ex-president masks every once in a while just to scare the shit of the overly concerned citizen.

An interesting philosophical question that this raises is whether skateboarding turns punks onto bath salts or if bath salts turn punks onto skateboarding.  Personally I dabbled with bath salts before I got into skating but it wasn't until after I combined the two that I went full on eating people's faces and running from cops nekkid.

I was indoctrinated into 'training' (i.e. got my first Variflex) in 1986, and have been actively terrorizing middle aged women (or at least the private property they are so concerned about) since 1992.

Bwahaha, definitely the highlight of the comment, though basing your fears on sensationalist movies is a close second. The frightening thing is this person is probably raising children. Probably the type of sad faced kids who get dragged by their parents to events holding signs talking about the Apocalypse and repentance.

Not to spoil the fun, but I get the feeling this was a joke.

Charleston is sick. All the Continuum homies kill it. This is the last video they put out. This reminds me, I need to go visit soon. It's been a while.

Call me a hater, but I spent a weekend in Charleston and I'm not a fan of the place.

anyways, here's some more great comments from it's "lovely" residents:

Quote
where is the money coming from to build this so-called skate-park ? so now that the young can't finish school, the city is going to build them a park where they can go to do all their other things. I wonder how big the drug problem and gangs will be because of this ?

Quote
where did the "Reserve Fund" come from? I guess the Skate Park Fairy left it under their pillow

Quote
I am not concerned about the cost of building this. I am more concerned about injuries and potential law suits against the city.

Quote
I've never met a skateboarder that wasn't a punk and didn't act like one. I will be at any meeting opposing this.
