Bacon is my favorite food, love that shit. Always scoffed at the microwaveable stuff. Finally broke down and bought the microwave stuff, totally impressed. Not as good as cooking up some thick cut pepper shit. But 20 seconds and bacon in yer mouth, amaaaazing...

You know those so called classified documents he posted online? Well, there's a little thing called FOIA or the Freedom of Information Act which allows you access government documents by requesting them. Unfortunately, the government illegally denies you from requesting certain documents. Julian assange circumvented this bullshit and posted them on the internet. Pretty awesome if you ask me

Is there any actual moral justification for this idea that making America look bad should be punishable by death? It's hilarious to me that the guy is wanted in Sweden on rape charges but is mostly being condemned for leaking embarrassing information about diplomats and botched operations in Afghanistan.

I think he's lucky to be even getting as much as he is. What do you think the punishment for leaking state secrets in most other countries is? Hello FSB car trunk to bullet in the head. You obviously know nothing about diplomacy, a diplomat needs a level of classification in order to do his/her often delicate job efficiently. This guy knew what he was doing and can't deal with the consequences. Anyone who thinks what he did is "awesome" probably believes there is a NWO government trying to pull the wool over everyones eyes.

This guy looks like a character from those British action movies.
You know, the ones filled with drugs, incomprehensible dialog, ridiculous chase scenes, and bad techno.

Hey genius, Wikileaks is owned by Assange but ran by many people and ON THE INTERNET. So killing him or disappearing him is not a clever move cause that will make wikileaks even stronger. So the best they can do is degrade him to sexual offender or whatever and hurt wikileaks reputation.
I ve only read wikileaks articles that have to do with US interfering in my country and thats a good thing to know. Its funny how much they fear communists and its frustrating how many journalists, politicians and shit are paid by the US to promote their interests.
Wikileaks is an eye opener and even if you are American its human to support the truth and not the lie you live in, in expense of other peoples' lives. Patriotism is the security of the rich man. Fuck that.

I'm really disappointed by the current organization of our world (nationalities, capitalism with many poor people, abuse of power in democracy etc.), so this situation with assange right now is something I can laugh about and say: see, I knew that it's so bad. and I'm not even a big wiki leaks fan (we don't even need to talk about assange here).

It does always seem weird that everyone, including the news seems to brush off the rape and molestation charges for the extradition to the US. Either way, unless he plans on living in the embassy forever, it sounds like he's fucked. They were playing out a bunch of scenarios on NPR yesterday and nothing sounds like it would work.

As I understand it, he only actually published a tiny fraction of all the documents that were sent to him, after ensuring that the info he was publishing would not put anyone's life at risk. He cannot control what people send to him, but he did control what he released. Most of the time, the documents he published dealt with stuff that had happened months or years ago. Basically the only consequence of the docs he published was embarrassing the U.S. Big fucking deal.
It is pretty obvious the rape charges are bullshit, since the sex was consensual anyways and only deals with whether he fucking removed his condom halfway through the sex. It is obvious that the real motive for the UK to arrest him is for his eventual extradition to the U.S. Threatening to storm the embassy to arrest him is fucking retarded. Both the UK and the US have relied on the principle of diplomatic immunity and political asylum many times in the past, especially during the Cold War, and it would be fucked up for them to ignore it now, and would have set an incredibly dangerous and fucked up precedent for diplomats all over the world.
I hope he makes it out to Ecuador. There is a perfectly legal way he could do this by driving to Switzerland in an embassy car. I hope he makes it.

You're ridiculous. The government of Ecuador is establishing an authoritarian state, following closely the model of Venezuela. Rafael Correa has won a 40 million judgement in a defamation proceeding against the countries' major newspaper El Universo. What is occuring there is the most comprehensive dismantling of the free media in the western hemisphere. Correa has rewritten the constitution to his liking, so he could seat a new Supreme Court. The standing Supreme Court was abolished and through a new, convoluted selection process - controlled by the Executive, Correa got what he wanted - 13 of the new 21 judges are now in his pocket. In Argentina the same thing is happening with their press.
The only reason Ecuador is granting Assange asylum is to appear to fools to be a beacon of transparency.

How is he being ridiculous? Sure, maybe Ecuador is being massively hypocritical, but so what? That doesn't at all detract from anything else he said. And they do have balls for doing this, regardless of their motives.
