While he does rip, I think Lenoce is only slightly more in-demand than I am, and I fucked my wrist up rolling off a curb.

There already is a third board company under Baker Boys: Heroin. I could see shifting some riders and resources there, but not launching a forth, brand new line with all the related costs associated with starting from scratch. Doesn't make sense.

eh, i think/hope they respect fos to let him do his own thing with Heroin. I could see the new company rumor being true

I'm just hoping that Fos stays true the the Euro/UK aspect of Heroin, something that a Euro company like Cliche is kind of starting to move away from since getting picked up by a US distributor.

Clearly Baker fam doesn't have an ownership stake in Heroin, currently, but it would make more sense, financially to invest their money and talent into a brand they already have a commitment to & help grow it. A new company will involve sinking a lot of time and money into design and branding, legal costs, state/federal fees, etc. While not beyond the realm of possibility, I don't see how the numbers come together in the current environment.

Did I imply that I did? Board sales are down, as are sales of all 'luxury' goods. While the entry costs for skateboarding are lower than other industries, I would expect you'd need something in the six to seven figure range in start up capital if you wanted to have any kind of market share capable of supporting a number of known Baker pros, even with a favorable distribution arrangement locked down.

Summary: as a result of board sales dwindling in the skateboard industry, a possibility of Baker branching out seems highly unfavorable and requires a lot of financial capital in order to cover overhead, fixed costs, and raw materials/goods.

It's not as if they'll be "splitting up" as such. If this does actually happen it wont make much of a difference at all. They'll still hang out together and go on tours and shit like that, it'll just be like they'll have different graphics under a different name. It's all a money game imo

It probably just means listen to Black Sabbath, Volume 4.

There is more Bieber coverage on Slap than one would expect from a bunch of manboys arguing the minutiae of rollerboard stunts. Actually now that I type that it kinda makes sense.
