one of my synthesizers kind of shit the bed today (korg poly800)

i think my sequencer sent out some crazy message that rewrote all of the sounds with random programs now every sound on it is fucked (spent months fine tuning some of them).  got SXSW in a couple weeks, and now i've got to see if i can salvage any of this shit.  i know this is super nerdy and dumb, but it still sucks.  want to throw this piece of shit out the window

Creating synth sounds is like chasing the dragon. Unless you know every filter and VCO etc. inside out it can be fucking maddening trying to recreate a sound that you have in your head. I know that feel as they say on the internet. Do you use that synth for every song when you perform?

been only using it on a couple songs lately, (mainly use my prophet08 on stage), but there are a few really weird sounds on it that are essential.  the thing is a bitch to program too.  no knobs, all menu diving button mashing bullshit.  i guess the upside is that i get to start from scratch with a clean slate (most of the presets that were left on the thing were complete shit, so it gives me an excuse to move on)

seems like that should have happened just by accident by now. weird.
In the past 3 days, I've found out that people I know in real life, have seen my posts here on slap. and i didnt know they even go to slap. as far as I know, they don't have profiles, and they've never posted.
I don't like being watched from afar. I've had too many crazy ex-girlfriends that have pulled that kind of snooping shit.

I am injured so I can't skate but come out to Berkeley if you want to chill. I will be watching skate videos at a friends house tonight doing the marijuana. I will PM you my number.

Edit: And sweatercuff, I have had friends tell me they know who I am on slap. I guess I give out some personal info here and there that may lead them to know it is me but it is still pretty strange.

I actually skated with Colin maybe a day or two after you did. But now I'm back in this hard soled boot thing because a doctor visit revealed my foot has stopped healing. Skating again too much and overall just too much movement of the foot. So I'm back to sulking around and laying in bed all day. I apologize that I can not remedy the situation, for I am un-stoked on mine now.

My son & fiance' are going to her dads house in SE. Texas for the next 10 days.

The first couple days they are gone will be awesome, then I'll be bored.

I live in this super shitty town and the only bit of flatground that isn't either chewed up cement or covered in gravel is this old basketball court about a block from my apartment.  I went to go skate it this morning and it was being bulldozed.  My next closest place worth skating is 45 minutes away.  Can't wait to fucking leave this shithole in less than four weeks.

I'm stuck in an airport for four hours today, since my mother's car broke down on the way to pick me up. Also, there is currently a child on a leash that has been screaming really fucking loud, non stop for about fifteen minutes now.
