def jux is the label vast and vordul were signed to when cold vein dropped.  i'm pretty sure it's run (or was run) by el-p (partly responsible for kalis' amazing song in sixth sense).

yup. Def Jux only puts out old material and doesn't sign artists anymore or release much new stuff. (oh, and that Vast track is like 3-4 years old btw.)
