The evolution of shoes.

I was looking at
http://skately.com/library/shoes
and its crazy to see the changes in shoes from even the early 2000's till now. What do you think shoes could possibly look like ten years from now? I just dont know how they could change newer shoes to improve them.

all the shoes that were out before the real over tech late 90s and early 2000s shoes looked similar to the ones we have now, simple and slim. since skate shoes follows fashion trends a definite return to that style is likely.

Way to participate. Next time don't bother.
Also, what the fuck is this?? It's hideous. Yet looks kind of like those bear foot slippers I had as a kid.

You could skate just fine and do all your tricks in a pair of airwalks from 20 years ago...

meh, in 10-15 years time people will be having full-body cringes when they look back at the "hideous" boat-shoe inspired skate shoes they used to wear (take note janoski wearers)

I actually did hit another skater in the face with my shoe once at a demo doing a shoes fly off kickflip but he was cool with it.

Shoes are becoming more functional with every coming season.
Simple designs with more innovative materials. Finding ways to maximize boardfeel, support and durability.
I always see that unwavering nostalgia for shoes of yore, but I remember vividly how poorly made most were.
Icy soles, hard materials and awkward colorways. All those things still happen but at least it's less frequent.
Shoes like the 1/2 cab, superstar, chuck taylor,dunk,blazer,sk8 hi,era will always be around. They're timeless and functional. The companies keep tinkering with them and are getting closer to making them better.
And with all the new insole companies it's easy to upgrade any shoe.

Yeah that was Chany's shoe on converse, it was actually a sick shoe, everyone in New Orleans ran them cuz there was a converse outlet out here and you could always scoop those for $20
