Good to hear Klein's side of the story, but as a skateboarder himself, I think he should have known that this shit was wack.

yeah I don't really know how much forcing contestants to do barrel jumps and skate around the street with pizza boxes translates to skating a shitty demo.  At least with a demo you're still skating doing your own shit

Translation: We just needed that one kid who'd stab anyone in the back, suck any dick and just do whatever we wanted him to do. gripes:
all this talk of being a "role model" skateboarder and being down for everything, yet the focusing of the boards... come on now. we all know skate company owners on a tight budget would not be stoked on a rider constantly focusing their board. so to have that whole concept be a symbol of letting somebody go, give me a break.  the show would have gotten more respect if the skater was required to find a kid with a shitty board in the streets and give it to him. instead we are shown how humans love to waste because hey... i can just replace this perfectly functional deck with that brand new one over there.

i don't know, even with the endless amount of youtube dislikes we have to admit this creation did strike a nerve in all of us.

Steve Rodriguez is really making himself sound like a moron.  I think this has said many times before, but Nieratko(and Jenkem even though it's unrelated to this) consistently have the best articles out.
