I rep anti social shop until I die. one time one of the workers said that if i could find a skateboard or motorbiked shaped cake pan that we could trade merchandise. I am stoked to go there to get some shoes when I go back home. I may get a board as well, who knows.

my local shop is 35th Avenue in Federal Way, Washington. Its the shnizz. If you live in an area where zumiez is your only local shop, order product from them, they do mail order!

My homie use to own a shop before it closed down due to some bullshit, but ever since then, it has been pretty much online stores. I hate going to shops where the only answers someone has for me, only relate to longboards.

If I had one, I'd like to think I would be...  I live 3 blocks down from a Zumies though, and they change out the bitches almost every month.  Gotten 5 dates out of that place with 3 lays.  That's better than club odds, and they're usually sober.  I'd almost consider it a sponsorship.

I love the idea of supporting core shops. But Zumiez has the same shit and waaaay cheaper, plus their clearance section of shoes is better than the core shops normal seletion. Why the fuck would i blow more money at a core shop, just to keep it real and support the scene when im eating ramen at home. Hate away all you bitches living with yer parents. Wait til you pay yer own rent and have kids to support. I will buy a pair of vans from a thrift store before going to an overpriced core shop.

My closest shop is going under, they have no more boards, wheels or trucks. They have basically become a shoe shop that supplies bearings and wax. There are two more shops that exist in my city and I think that they may both carry fake product, so I am worried about getting setups there.

I live in a city that sits between atlas and 510. pretty much everyone in my city is suckin that atlas dick, but i support 510. although atlas is sick and everything, ill go in and buy a dvd or mag, i do my set up shopping at 510 for sure. if you go into atlas looking for a wheel bigger than a 52mm you're pretty much shit outta luck.

My local shop closed down. And because of it I now work at Home Depot.
But i'll try my best to make the 40 minute drive to Rome, Georgia and support Skatelife.

i was flowed by my local shop that is run by an alcoholic crackhead.
worked for the dude for three years and he canned me a week before christmas for forgetting to put paper in a credit card machine.
he has no idea what skateboarding is these days... he asked me if ellington was still on zero while the baker has a deathwhish promo was playing.
i guess this could have gone into the 'skateshop nightmares' thread but whatever.

dude's a cocksucker but he owns the only local shop in town.

My local is called watcher, it's really small (because the scene in shizuoka is almost non exsistant) but if you need anything Jaki orders it for you and it's there the next day. If you are ever in Japan and come through Shizuoka (near mt fuji) you should pay watcher a visit and jaki will hook you up with spots and directions or he'll call me and I'll come help out

Then don't support it. I'm sure you can get cheaper prices online.

Supporting an asshole just for the sake of supporting an asshole doesn't make much sense to me. It's not like HE'S doing anything for the community - at least you made it sound like that
