im 24 and been skating about 10 years on and off mostly on. since i was younger ive always felt more comrtable skating ramps and dropping in regular stance. it feels more natural to carve regular also and powerslides, BUT all my tricks i pop are goofy footed. it is the weirdest shit and ive actually met a few people who say they have the same thing. it really sucks but comes in handy for doing weird variations. like when im skating ramps and dropping in i have to switch stance to pop any tricks anywhere it sucks so bad and ive always strayed away from park skating because of it.

one of my good friends is the same exact way, except goofy on transitions and riding around, and regular for tricks that require a pop.

that being said, this is a shit thread.

Yea I'm the same, except goofy footed for tranny. Which is almost all I skate anymore, so I guess that's my stance. I used to affirm with regular skaters more though.its fucking lame and ruins games of skate

Not sure if anyone remembers him but Kevin Davis said in an old (and probably his only) interview that he switched his stance a few years into skating and you can kind of see it. His switch style looks pretty similar to his regular in some of the tricks in this part:

thanks i know this is a shit thread but im just lookin for support homie, thank god im not the only one.
on the bright side... it makes it really easy to do regular pop tricks that require landing on the nose like frontside big spins, and i can do regular front 360s but not switch which its usually the other way around for people

I'm regular-footed, but when I'm running or playing basketball, I jump off my left foot.  In skating, this has translated into me being able to learn the nollie variations of tricks more easily than any others.

I know a couple of kids like that. They ride regular footed on a ramp or something, but they can only pop with the left foot. So they basically do all of their tricks switch? I think its neat.

I had this for a couple of months when I started, but then I manned up and dropped in regular and never looked back. Now I skate fully regular but just happen to have a mean switch push.

i skate regular, snowboard goofy.  i started skating goofy, but im very left foot dominate so i switched because im better popping regular.  havent looked back since,  though i do wish i skated goofy because i think it looks better.

I'm regular footed, and I drive a standard car, so my left calf is a lot stronger than my right from using the clutch all the time. In other words, I can pop nollie stuff easier but not switch. It's weird.

Just Remember: You're not alone.

It's completely normal to have an orientation towards both stances.
It can be a confusing time learning this about yourself, but don't get discouraged.
Some of the top skaters have been ambidextrous and gone on to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

yeah i'm like that in a way, I'm goofy footed, but when I wrestled in high school my natural stance was left foot forward(of course i became comfortable shooting with either leg), but when i'm boxing i'm a south paw.
