I gotta agree with everyone, Figgy seems like an early front runner.

Lot's of videos to go this year still, but ya gotta give the guy some credit. Also, ya gotta see him in person, dude just slays it!

i have read in at least one interview that emerica's working on a video that'll have parts from all the younger guys (westgate, provost, leo, figgy etc..)

also, people gotta stop bitching about busenitz not getting soty. clearly he doesn't give a fuck about it so why should you? its a THRASHER award that has become recognized as the only one that really holds any weight. Its not a hard concept to grasp. if you aren't doing shit for thrasher and hanging out with phelps, you ain't getting it.

as long as he keeps putting out ads and films a full part it's guaranteed.

I wouldn't ever have picked Figgy as an SOTY candidate, but there are some arguments here which do seem to bring him into the conversation for this year. ? Personally, I'm liking Suicu or Jake Johnson.

you need more than just handrails to get SOTY.

He didn't even have the best part in stay gold, so there goes that argument.


I really don't keep up with skateboarding as much as a lot of people, but after Stay Gold came out, I was like, "when is Westgate going to get SOTY?"
