My man needs to cut his hair and pick a less obnoxious energy drink hat next time.  Bucky rips super hard though, but when he said he enjoyed racing cars as much as skating i was like, "c'mon son."  Skaters do just as embarrassing shit as this all the time though, shame is out of the question these days.  Have you seen maltos nike apparel ad? And Bucky is passed the caring portion of his career.

Is racing considered "jock" now?

I really didn't think he was that bad at all. I'm glad he's still ripping and getting sponsorship deals. Wouldn't you be too? At 40?
Oh so he's likes competitive driving now? Guess what , our interests grow with time.

Can people please stop with this whole "actionsports" crap? How is any sport not action or is more extreme? Ok, chess wount snap your ancle but figure skating is pretty fucking insane if you ask me. Compare Marc Johnssons ledge dancing with girls tripple spinning around their partners waist while wearing the least comfortable gear ever. Plus keeping an ear to ear smile and avoid showing your pussy.

Personally I'd rather live a modest life by my morals and values than whore myself out to pay for some shitty la lifestyle.
People say that all the time "He has bills to pay", so do I and lots of other folks. He's skilled on a skateboard and makes a living from it, doesn't excuse being a kook.

just read he quit or got kick off of pretty much all of his skate sponsors, i'm guessing that Puma racing money probably kills the Vans skating check, seems like Element would want to keep him though if he's killing all these contest.

someday you will realize any pro skater that pays his own bills (esp to support a family) has to jump the shark on the daily. It's called growing up, being a man and not worrying what the children ion the internet are gonna say about you. That video clip was corny cause it was produced corny. If it had been a high end production, you would have said "oh cool". There was nothing about that clip that was any more embarrasing than what I see on the berrics.

I'm curious what all these people do that call others sell-outs that is so noble. Oh, your 23 and work at a retail job. Good luck with that child.

how the fuck are you even gunna try to hate on this?Huh?

this dude is 40 years old and has kept a pretty legit respectable career in skateboarding for what, 20+ years?

its pretty apparent that anyone talking shit about driving really fast for a big paycheck is retard....... do you always follow the speed limit? right, i didnt think so. instead of worrying about cops for speeding this dude is making bookoo bucks off something we all do on a daily basis.

so go hate on lutzka in the thread about that darkstar video, yeah that one with the horrendous trailer.

I have a family to support and bills etc. I see a kook, nothing you can say, no point you make valid will change my perspective. People earn a living everyday while keeping their ideals in check. Obviously the dude isn't into the same stuff I am. I can respect his skill upon a skateboard, beyond that he seems to embody and like many things I don't care too much for. It's an opinion, much like yours. He puts himself out there so hard, you can't blame me for judging. I hate cars with loud exhausts, ridiculous ego's and energy drinks. I don't have to like anything or anyone. Regardless of what they've done in or out of skating. He is the epitome of what Max Schaaf talked about in his epicly laterd.

lol.

And lol @ b.v.  It's easy for you to sit there and judge people who make a living skating, because NO sponsor would ever pay you shit to do anything.  You realize pro skateboarders don't have pensions right?  And he has kids and bills that will continue for the rest of his life, despite the fact that he's just about been aged out of his trade? Aging pros would be stupid not to secure their future while they can.

I suppose "b.v." would respect him more if he just hung up the board and started at working at UPS, right? Instead of this?  Who's the kook?

I know I suck, I never said I deserved to be hooked up and I don't harbor resentment of any type. I highly doubt Bucky Lasek is hurting for ANYTHING in life right now. He has a massive bowl in his yard, dozens of cars and a few houses. I never said he should work for ups, your argument is ridiculous.
Plenty of pro skateboarders live comfortably from a decent shoe deal(which he has)clothing sponsor(which he has). Element, Vans, Billabong, RDS, Independent, Bucky's Burritos, Jones Soda, Ogio, T-Mobile, Von Zipper That's a healthy list.

You guys think you should sign your name with any manufacturer trying to market themselves in skateboarding, I don't. He seems kooky. End of story. Go ahead, back the fuck out of Bucky, I'll give my money to people I think are doing something worthwhile in skating.

How much money do you suspect those sponsors are going to justify throwing his way in 5 years?  When he's skating Master's comps and not moving their product?  Skateboarding is not the most loyal industry, when there is no use for you, you're out on your ass (if your name isn't Tony Hawk).   He's going to long outlive his professional skateboard career, where would you suggest that $$$ come from?  What's "core" to b.v, if not UPS?

Exactly, the guy came from a bad neighborhood in Baltimore, was good at skating and used the money he's made from it to get his family out of that neighborhood, and take care of them.  As far as the racing thing goes,  he's always been into cars and racing just as much as skating.   As his sponsors go, like others have said, he's a 40 year old vert skater, you take what comes along at that point.  Yeah Rockstar is obnoxious as shit but it's paying the bills for him.   This part's 4 years old, but still sick...
