Slave would be rad, they do it right over there.  So would Blood Wizard AND Anti Hero AND pretty much anywhere else.  His footage at this year's Tampa Pro was so sick

well if i had that much "insiderness" i would feel confident in saying something but
like people say he is probably talking to a lot of companies so anything could happen
just be patient and open minded

It bums me out to even say it, but for some reason I see World Industries happening. I really hope I'm proven wrong.

I doubt he would go back over there.

Send Help or Slave seem likely.  I could even see him at Santa Cruz, or Creature.  He's seriously underrated though, he killed it this year at Tampa.  Switch smiths over the love seat  Shocked

that would be a step in the wrong direction. he's turned things around this year... hate to see him backslide.
especially since hes pretty much the reason they kicked the whole team off a few years back... im really thinking birdhouse, SC, or AH... either would be good fit. im sure everyone will trash the birdhouse suggestion, but whatever.

Glad to see him away from Con. I think Birdo's pretty much destroyed his own company.
Be good to see him on $lave, but i'd be happiest with heroin. Kyle, Chet and H. together on a team is fucking serious.

he's never had a great board sponsor so
it would be nice to see him actually get
backed by someone legit.

Consolidated was huge in the 90's and really I don't mind it now. They just lost a ton of sales due to the political argument they stand by of who to not sell to/ not let riders be sponsored by. The politics of not wanting riders on Nike, Cons, and Adidas lessens the large media outlets that they have. As well, many of the don't do it ads may have sapped some of their advertising budget for ads that could've stood out as "normal" skate ads.

whats always bugged me about the DDI campaign is that nike, adidas and converse were in the skateboarding game long before consolidated was even an idea. i'd bet that the original jordans were worn by twice as many street and vert skaters in the 80's than van's or any other brand.

To play devil's advocate for Birdo. The DDI campaign is set more towards the future of skateboarding once skateboarder owned or skateboarding dedicated ("core") brands to be the main suppliers of skateboard footwear to the skateboard industry because it is believed that they have the best interest of the skateboarder at heart. Whether or not this is true, you are likely to have more progress specialized in the field of skateboarding when money and resources go from the industry into the industry's main backers. From this angle the past was not the main concern for the DDI campaign because it does not focus on a time when skateboarding dedicated brands were in existence. It focuses on the prevalence and advancement of brands that are not skateboarding dedicated in order to make a profit from said industry. The DDI campaign has set out to try and stop the advancement of these brands so that skateboarding footwear will remain run by skateboarders.

Where this falters is that Nike and Converse hired skateboarders or people associated with skateboarding to head up and run their programs, as well as Adidas did. Both of these brands are pulling from the same industry talent pool as Lakai and Fallen and Emerica. Just with different salary capabilities as well as incentives and product quality due to larger research and development budgets. As well as patented and trademarked technology and silhouettes from other successful shoes like the Blazer, Spezial, Chuck Taylor, and Campus. Shoes that as mentioned before were around long before Consolidated was. Which is why with modern updates with bigger R&D budgets those time-tested shoes have been turned into high quality skate shoes.

Anyway, back on topic, Berard.
