Feet: 8.5

Deck: 8

Perfect size for low impact everyday street stuff. I'd bump up to 8.25 maybe for parks/gnar.

Shoe size: 10.5
Height: 5'10"
Board size: 8.25"

I've always rode wider boards than all my friends have because I skated a lot more vert and tranny than street and felt more comfortable with a wider base under my feet when carving a bigger wall. As I started skating street more I just grew accustomed to riding wider boards so it just stuck. I've goofed around on my friends' boards a few times and even a 7.75" deck feels too narrow under my feet.

Shoe Size: 11.5-12 US
Height: 6 2ish
Board Size: 8 3/8

It feels more secure and grounded like I know where my board is at all times. Hard to explain.

What about him!?!?

just kidding

I am doing an Essay on the comparison of Footsize to the deck size and how it has affected your skateboarding performance.

For data i need skateboarders opinions for evidence.

If possible can you list your:
Foot Size
Deck Size
: Width / Height (if possible)
How it has affected your skateboarding performance.

Below please. Thanks.

size 9 (usa) shoe and i skate a 8 inch wide deck. I used to skate 7.75 and stepped up to a 7.80 then to a 8..each time i step it up it becomes easier to skate/land things

Shoe:  10-11
Height: 6'1"
Board:  7.75-8.25

When I started skating 7.75 was pretty much the norm/average.  As bigger boards became more popular I tried some out.  As has been said the smaller boards generally flip and pop a little easier for me and the bigger boards are more stable.  I guess if I had bigger feet I'd ride a bigger board.  For my height I'm not that big of a dude.  If I were a bigger dude I'd probably ride a bigger board.  As is, I don't want anything so small that its going to look weird on my trucks, and I don't really jump down anything big or skate huge transition so I don't ride really big boards.  But honestly, after a session or two I get used to a board and a quarter or half an inch doesn't seem to make a huge difference to me.  So as long as its in the right range of width, then price, shape/feel, company, skater, and graphic can all be as much a deciding factor as the exact width.  Good luck with your project.

Shoe size: 10
Height: 6'
Board size: 7.75"-7.875"

I'm in my late 30's and prefer this width range because:

1. Wider boards takes too much energy and effort for my old legs to flip.
2. Skinnier boards break too easy.

There's a point of diminishing returns going skinnier and wider for every individual.  With the way boards are generally trending to wider boards the past several years, I suppose I could end up moving to a wider board.  I have an 8" and an 8.125" waiting to be skated.

Is this really for market research?

US 11
8.38 x 32.56 (DLX)
None. Performance is based on skill not deck size.

Other things to consider:
-The only reason I sized up from an 8" was to fit Indy 149s. Truck width, to me, makes much more of a difference than deck width.
-Will you limit your reseach to one type of skating (I assume modern street skating)? Skinny decks make little sense for vert/bowl or non-technical skaters.
-Skateboarding is market-driven. Sometimes the predominant style of skateboarding determines deck size and shape (especially from the mid-80s to early '90s), now trends determine everything.

im 6'1 size 12 feet and I ride a 7.75, I started skating in the mid 90s when a 7.5 board wasnt uncommon so I grew up skating smaller boards. I rode a 7.62 for awhile but went back to 7.75. I tried riding an 8 and its ok for kickflips, but any sort of 180 flip variation like say a hardflip or tre seems so fucking hard to flip on an 8.

US size 9

8" board

5'6"

I've skated boards as skinny as 7.5 and as wide as 8.25. These days the skinniest I could go is 7.75. My problem is not necessarily the width of bigger boards, but their length. I'm a short dude with short legs and I just feel awkward skating a longer board/wheelbase. I'd like to skate a board slightly longer and wider than 31" and 8" respectively.

Us size 10 6'2"

just bumped up to an 8.5x32 after riding between 8-8.25 for the last 5 or 6 years.

feeling kinda odd, need to get bigger trucks.

sometimes feels hard to not put my feet on the board during flip tricks and sometimes it feels super hard to flip the fucker around!

To be honest i dont think foot size and board size have a real tie to each other like that..i know dudes who wear and skate so many different sizes...If anything Deck size has to do more with trends, posture, tricks/styles that are trending, weight, height etc.....
Im a 13 and skated 7.75 for years..its just so much easier to get 8's now since companies make more of em i also skate more tranny now than i have in the years prior..

i dunno i just like a bigger board. i like jumping down shit and it's nice to have a big ol plank to land on. i can see why some dudes like smaller boards for more tech stuff, but anything can work if you get used to it.

Current Board Size: 8.18
Shoe Size: 10.5
Height: 5'8"

ive experimented with board sizes 7.75 - 8.5 and i find the 8 - 8.25 range to be most preferable. I like enough room for a solid catch & land when skating down gaps while still having as much "flipage" as possible.

Current boardsize: 8.25
Shoesize: 9

I usually ride 8, and I really like a 7.875 I rode before that one. I prefer 8.12 though, and this 8.25 had the best shape ever and I really like it. I care more about the shape than the size itself as long as its between 7.875 and 8.25. If I just randomly order a board over the internet though, ill get an 8 or 8.12, maybe 8.25 sometimes after this one.

About lenght, did you mean boardlenght? In that case, I like shorter boards, around 31.5" is good. The one im riding now is 31.25" long with the 8.25 widht, it feels really good. Like a short fat one, it doesnt feel all long and wide and heavy, its just a little wider but still "quick" because of the short lenght.

Habitat, its the o'connor insignia deck. Its probably my favorite shape ever, blunted nose and tail and deep concave. Perfect.

I don't think these correlate very well considering most of it is preference and what you feel comfortable riding.
But why not
Shoe size: 11 US
Board Size: Typically 8.5x32+ maybe an 8.25 if I dig the pro or company

Height, 6' 2" with long ass arms and broader shoulders

height: 6-0
shoe size: 11
board size: 7.75

started off on a 7.75 when it was considered "average" before the wide board trend and just stayed there. i tried bigger boards but just felt more comfortable on the smaller board. i don't jump down big stairs or big rails so 7.75 is just enough for me.
