World Wallie Cup

It started to rain and I left before the very end but it looked like Busenitz won it. I was routin' for Jay Adams, though. Basically you had three tries at each height to advance to the next level. If you missed on your third try you had the option to chug a beer for an extra try. This made for some heroic makes for one of the youngin's. It was pretty darn humid but Shane O'Neil was still creeping around with two hoodies up over a ball cap, Lucas Puig can't take off those blue shorts, and Benny Fairfax was wearing sun glasses in the grimmest, cloudiest Berlin weather. Why am I typing this I sound like a fan boy?

Stoked for Booze. And if you didn't know already, skateboarding is full of characters. That's why it's awesome.

I started skateboarding when Bill Weiss was pro! But yeah, I was entertained yesterday. Busenitz seemed like he was having a fun time and Jay Adams was doing nose grab wallies. Who's this long-haired British giant who skates for Selfish? Nice Hurricane a Jersey in the free skate.

Boozy won it with a 115.5 cm wallie.

Pontus slammed pretty hard towards the end.
...and I am now seeing how this rating system works. Negative one point for forgetting some Z-Boys history. Fair enough.

this is the greatest idea for a contest ever. I badly want to see footage of the full comp. But more than that I too want to see the bails. surely a few guys would have wrecked themselves charging at the wall.

Did you not see the video posted? It's a jersey barrier with a bit of a quick crete job.

Without a doubt one of the best new concepts/contests. I was stoked my buddy got pretty far and was forced to drink beer and it was a pleasure to see Busenitz jam the obstacle with the other dudes.

Somebody should organise a pole jam event where the bar gets longer and longer, and of course, higher and higher in the process.
Would be interesting to see who can do the longest pole jam, more spectacular than the highest wallie I guess.
Best trick on a pole jam should be good as well.

Would have loved for Jason Adams to win as well, if I'm honest.
Here's a quick vid I found on youtube. Looks like Cons helped support this - props to them if so.

I'm pretty sure Pontus is the new TM for Cons' Europe team, so that's probably why.
