I really wanna see one of those adult cyber-dudes get into it with their parents in a very public place- like a food court. How many of those people work at Spencers?

So, I just looked it up, and while there is no official news source saying so, it would appear that YES, he is down with Xenu. Haha!

Bro-step seems to be defined by higher tempos and (more importantly) by the oscillating LFO "WOMP-WOMP-WOMP" sound effect that they overuse to the point of tedium.
I actually quite like that "Mala" track up there though...
That's a pretty good assessment. My other issue with brostep is the lack of originality in the percussion. Dubstep usually used sparse percussion with a focus on the third beat (hence the 'step' title) whereas brostep usually just abuses compressed snares on the two and four. Lame.
Mala, Loefah, Coki, Ramadanman Peveralist, Appleblim and 2562 are all still making good music. Really though, dubstep only ever made proper sense when listening through a heavy sound system. If there's no sub pressure, it's not dubstep.
Also fuck Skrillex.
Brostep is the hair metal of electronic music, I'm more into the "UK Garage" side of things which is sometimes referred to as dubstep (not so much in recent years due to it's negative connotation)
One time I brought up the name Burial to this kid who said he was into dubstep and he kinda just looked down at his shoes.

yea, what's probably the biggest tragedy of the whole "brostep" explosion is that now you're average 19 year old doesn't even really know what dubstep is.

"i like the part that goes, ""wahwahwompjsadjfsof"".
"yeah that shits tight, but i like the part where its like "dowahahdumdumb;aljoiajsd".
