I could only watch that for 2 minutes before I just had to leave it playing in another tab. Was very awkward. Nothing new or really remotely interesting about that. Jamie absolutely loves talking about himself.

Will listen to this as I drive around at work tmrw. Hope this podcast ends up being good, I thought Jamie's Nine Club interview was arguably the best episode ever. He's very well spoken in that episode and has stories for days. He also said "at any rate..." a lot and I liked it haha

i was hyped to see that there was video of the interview (even with clips spliced in of the tricks they were referencing - really liked that!), as i thought it was only gonna be in podcast form. that being said, if crob and the guys over at the nine club admittedly take some of their cues from the howard stern show, it feels like jamie is doing some sort of skate version of the charlie rose show. the bare-bones set, the way that jamie looks into the camera and addresses the viewer, it all felt very...earnest. but that's kinda jamie's m.o. i suppose - always getting down to business. excited for the ray barbee episode.

wow it started out so awkwardly. JT is so bland and doesnt laugh or tell jokes. the set is looks like a rec room at an apartment complex where they just moved the ping pong table out of the way to set up real quick. there is a fern next to The Muska.

idk if this is true but i feel like it's more pressure being videotaped. at least at first, i think they could be more comfortable just audio like the bunt [less exciting to the viewer/listener] and after catching your stride like charlemagne the god you can have cameras rolling and still make lil mama cry.
it's casual, the other thing is to have someone you can make fun of when you're feeling insecure like crob has rog and howard stern has bababooey the horsefaced jackass.
jamie m thomas may be too earnest to project insecurities on his lackey but at least a 2nd person to shoulder the host responsibility might loosen him up.

I listened to this podcast while driving today at work and I thought it was just fine! I'm definitely looking forward to more, hopefully Jamie still reads SLAP every now 'n then and will take everyone's opinions into account!

I felt as uncomfortable listening to this as I'd imagine those chairs are. Awkward and JT and Muska just constantly say "umm" and "like". Bummed that JT got Muska and Barbee, because now 9 Club won't, and that wouldve made for way more entertainment IMO.

Better than the 9club 1000%. I know it's such a simple formula and Jamie Thomas does love to talk about himself but I was intrigued the whole time. Muska is on some real shit, how does he even live in LA. It's bizarre.

Not a very popular opinion here but I can't really listen to Chad speak for a lengthy period of time. He just strikes me as someone who will jump at any given opportunity to be "different" or "unique" making it far from genuine. I appreciate all of his contributions to skateboarding, good and bad, but I only listened to this for the sake of hearing something new about his career. For the most part everything on here has been covered in the past through other platforms.
Jamie will find his groove in time. I can't wait for the next one and episodes to come with former team riders. Some Rattray or Lindsey stories would be great. Trainwreck also.

Audio needs an upgrade, but probably best to keep it cheap in case you don’t see it through.
They should share snacks and maybe talk about things outside of skateboarding.

I thought they did find a new angle. The life story part stopped at Shorty’s genesis, more or less. To be honest though, I would have loved for the life story stuff to continue. I would have loved to hear all the stories about Shorty’s.
