If feel like when he puts parts out 25% of people, myself included liked his skating even if it wasn’t mind blowing. He was definitely at the forefront of the no comply resurgence. Everyone else was like. This guy? This is the guy Alien, HUF, Nike and FA had to have?

All of this. One of the biggest mysteries to me. I like Terpening and I've bought one of his FA boards along the way to support, but I am stunned by how little output he's had, especially for his age, and how he continues to get a pro board and top shelf sponsors. What really got me thinking about him specifically was some of the nitwits here slagging Andrew Allen in a recent thread.

And Dill also called Terp the "White Ray Barbee" which is completely undeserved praise IMO http://liveskateboardmedia.com/en/article/meeting-jason-dill

I know that Terp has had a good amount of parts out, but I searched his name in youtube and 4 of the top 7 videos are for different shoe sponsors

Es
Gravis
Huf
Nike

He's not a slacker when it comes to footage, he has a solid style and unique eye for spots. Still I don't get why Nike wanted to swoop him from Huf, but I know Huf talked about it in an interview and saying he couldnt' match what they were gonna pay him.

Title: Re: Cory Kennedy of Nike.

I always figured Nike put Terps on just so Huf couldn't have him.

Terps told Huf (the person) that he left for Nike because HUF wasn’t doing enough to promote him...

I assumed he got on Nike because of Scuba Steve and the eS days. Maybe he just fell through the payroll cracks on every company and they didn't realize they've been paying someone to not show up the past few years

They should Get rid of half the team, I mean where guy been? Or theotis, or big John? Haven’t seen any Justin Brock footy or Trevor Colden footy in a while. Also why is Omar and weiger still on the team? Haven’t seen them skate in years, same goes for Janoski..really hoping he’s got some footy in the new habitat video, if not then they should just cut the guy. Enough laying dudes to not skate, we wanna see them skate!

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt because online parts are so saturated it's hard to remember but within the last year there have been new parts from Theotis, J Brock (shared I guess in real surveillance), Wieger footy in Aunt Tammy, John Fitzgerald had footy in Hockey III, and Colden in that xgames shit. I'm pretty sure Janoski is still there for his namesake which I am not mad about in the least bit. Not sure about Omar but again I'm glad he's still on.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Deluxe keeps paying him as they know eventually all the money will be going to Preston’s widow. Corey is going to have to pay all of Preston’s expected earnings until retirement which could be up to 3-4 million dollars. Not sure insurance is going to cover near that and I don’t know about a DUI death. Basically, Corey is going to be skating for Preston in more ways than just symbolically.

i don't understand this. i get that crail decks can't really sniff dlx wood, but damn at least BA would sticker up his boards when he was on girl and riding AH decks. or throw on a girl shirt. especially with girl continuing to back ck through everything. he's had at least one, and a lot of the times even two, shapes in each of the recent series. his boards must be selling in order for them to be doing that, and i imagine ck is getting a cut of some of that, so at least do something to return the favor. it's like crail needs him more than he needs crail. hell maybe that's actually the case? the crailtap, chocolate, and girl instas each re-posted that recent clip of ck - starting to look pretty sad on their part when dude can't even put a sticker on his board.

edit: if that's true in that post below this, about this photo being a screen grab from elijah's insta story, then damn that's pretty savage on the part of dlx. of all the screen grabs to take you get the one that may as well be an AH ad.

That's debatable. It would have to be determined in civil court how liable Cory was. It could easily be somewhat mitigated if a civil jury determines that P-Stone took unnecessary risks (didn't wear a seatbelt) and that limited Cory's liability.

Now, if convicted (due to criminal courts having stricter rules) it could mean a DUI related death makes Cory 100% responsible, but I am not familiar with Washington's state laws.

Washington is zero tolerance for drunk driving. If you get a DUI then its an automatic 1 year of jail time and huge fine. We have a huge problem with it out here. I grew up about 45 minutes outside of Seattle and driving drunk was pretty much a culture out there. Long winding roads through the forest with a small population. I still hear about people I went to school with dying out there from driving home drunk pretty frequently.

I was talking about civil liability and how much Cory would potentially owe P-Stone's family. Obviously, it is taken very seriously in criminal courts.

I’m sure she already has a lawyer. I was just curious how much these settlements were going for. Looks like 2 million is an average wrongful death from drunk driving. I doubt CK1’s auto insurance protects him to the tune of 2 million dollars. I have been thinking about upping my insurance to 1 million from 300k, because that is not going to cover shit in this day and age.

Depends on the state you live in, say in California, the minimum liability required is 500k, but you choose to pay more and get 2 million, if you are at fault and convicted of drunk driving, the insurance liability drops to the state minimum, and you would get zero for the damage to your car.

The national average minimum liability is 30K. California is 15K. I would imagine civil liability manslaughter cases require the guilty party to pay huge sums out of pocket.

I forgot that me not drinking and driving stops others from drinking and driving. Thanks for the reminder.

Cory gives me the same feeling that Antwuan did; great talent that piled out. Of course he didn't reach Antwuan levels of prison/antics but he definitely didn't live up to the hype we all felt when we watched that Beware of Sasquatch part from ten years ago.

I like Terps but for someone who AvE called his "muse" he's been pretty uninspiring. He's Not Sure FA video was good but that was years ago.

Hey, it was Dylan that called Terps his muse in an instagram caption. Ave's muses are more likely his inner turmoil and the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

If you already have 100/300 just buy a 1 million liability umbrella policy that way if any shit occurs that goes over the 300k mark that 1 million kicks in.

Sorry, I've been asleep for a decade. I just watched that two minute nike video and there was nothing there that Busenitz wasnt doing better 15 years ago. Does Dennis still skate? can he cop that spot?

Cory should go to rehab and it's a good thing he'll keep paying  Preston's family, and is also cool that Girl is still supporting him.

omg im so turned on.  tell me how about how thats exclusive of the PIP offset and the providers didn't execute proper liens on the outstandings.

real talk tho:  there will be no happy endings.  There is nothing that can unring the bell.  I have witnessed first hand how vindictiveness and the law combine into poison.   i just hope that all parties involved will allow themselves to be happy and find closure. In the internet age there will always be people commenting dumb shit, but if i see a CK clip on insta and its a good trick,  ill heart it.

I feel like any person with a conscience would think about it every single day and it’s shadow would fall on every halfway decent thing in their life.

Like how Ali Boulala turned into a rambling old man wearing women’s boots.

I know someone who recently got out of prison after accidentally drunkenly running over and killing her boyfriend 9 years ago. She's a ghost. Regardless of what's going on with CK and Preston's family, this isn't premeditated murder like so many people are pretending and CK knows he's responsible for his friend's death. Everyone involved is fucked up over it.

I feel bad for the wife. Obviously she blames Cory and went off on him on Instagram and she has every right to feel how she feels. Yet you got the Raven Tershay's out there making people delete their comments because they said something similar. The whole thing is messed up and touchy that I still find it hard to enjoy any new CK footy because of it.
