Title: Coming up with a skateboarding website idea, need your HELP!
Post by: theskaterhere on June 28, 2018, 04:35:26 PM
Hey guys,

I've been skateboarding for over ten years now. Recently learned that talent skateshop in VT is closing...
However, this has been a problem in rural regions where this is a business that's hard to maintain. Anyway, I want to develop a website for mainly newbs/or maybe parents buying skateboards for their kids. I've noticed lots of websites are just basic amazon review sites, not providing any VALUE whatsoever. I'll recommend products through affiliates, but not in spammy way. Providing basic guides, in depth reviews, trick tips, and maybe even exercises.

What are your thoughts? What makes a good user experience for you? What are somethings when you first started you wanted answers for?

Any and ALL input will be greatly appreciated!

For what it’s worth, I’m a pretty intense skate nerd that is constantly trying new stuff.  I could write some reviews or whatnot.  Send me a message if this is at all helpful to you.

Yes there's videos, there's also review sites like rippedlaces, thrasher, skatemag ect.. that people visit. Skaters are still online searching for their next skate shoes. Or looking for reviews on a specific product. Yes most things are on Youtube, but it doesn't mean good content can't still draw people's attention. BTW what do you mean "everything else"
