That was cool! Weird seeing them in a tropical setting but it kind fit them. I'm glad there is room in skateboarding for all the nyjahs and the SP's of the world and everything in between. Lucas, SP, Rory and Lucien killed it!

Arto lives here in Hawaii now, on the North Shore of Oahu, not far from where these guys stayed.

Stoked on this edit, and also very happy to see footy of my homie Evan Mock at the end, he spot sherpa'd these guys around and shredded as well.

Danny Brady killed it, fucking team manager showing how to be productive whilst still chilling in vacation mode.

I know SP gets much hate here but I thought his footy was actually great.

There's a lot to process, gonna have to re-watch later.

Fuck I can't wait for the Atlantic Drift edit!

Skating was great.  Everyone except Benny looked like they were filming on laundry day (i.e., wacky clothing combinations).  I may be biased since I am American and have never been to Europe. Clothing is a trivial thing I will admit.

The footage looks gorgeous. It's sad that Sony lost the Betamax/VHS war considering their product was quite superior. I guess things evened out when the won the Blu-Ray / HD-DVD battle.

What's next for Palace? Hi-8? Would the gimmick be going too far if they just continued through every antiquated video format?

I actually like Shawn Powers skating. Kinda skates like Gonz. But Lobster holocausts are unforgivable. Lobsters travel as families in the wild. Think about that Shawn.

So good. I visited Oahu last winter and loved it, but it's not a skate destination at all. The fact that they squeezed out this much footage is impressive. Having Evan Mock as a tourguide definitely helps. I got a good laugh at Sean Powers skating the one spot in Hawaii that kinda resembles the bench spot he always films at in NY (around the 2:40 mark).

Hi-8 will look a lot different than I think a lot of you remember. You saw a lot of Hi-8 on VHS I'm guessing. Hi-8 raws look nice as hell too.

They may be insanely popular with hypebeasts, but Palace is fucking kill it these days. This edit was amazing. Danny and Lucien killed it. I get a somewhat old school Chocolate vibe from them. Some technically amazing skaters (particularly Lucas and Brady) but filled out with an amazing style all around. Now, turn poptartpete pro and put Arto on.

Fraid so - the asthetic and 'voice' of the company was so overwhelmingly shit it got increasingly harder
to ignore. Also - what else was there to choose from in the UK at the time other than Blueprint?

They had some great riders that helped shape the UK skate scene in late 90s/early 2k's - not disputing that.
