After viewing the Blind Instagram account and their website I come to notice that Morgan Smith is no longer on the team. Sewa and Morgan joining Shane's new team to have a Battle at the Berrics super team? Where is my precious morgan going :-\
-
Obscurity, probably.

What is this "off" business?

ive never seen him with work clothes on lol
-
I saw him switch heel over the DJ at glory challenge. Lots of hard hats around must have gotten him fiend out.
-
I really don't get the people who check team pages. I mean, do your thing but it's kinda silly to me. Kinda shilly? Nah not quite.

If you're the Euro TM and that's true it's very disappointing. Not my personal favorite but dude is really underrated.
-
Dude's has been slept on his whole career. Part of that is not moving to the States, but he's always killed it. He deserved way better than a career on Blind and only ever being on DC Canada/International. He's the best Toronto area skater since Apples, although Bobby is now absolutely destroying it (and getting properly hooked up, which is always a challenge when based in Canada). Not counting Wade D, since he's from Ottawa, and lived in Van til he moved back recently.
-
Does anyone genuinely care about blind anymore?

They seem to hit the "small completes for kids" market pretty hard, at least here in Australia, and to be honest that's probably a pretty decent market. But yeah no one over 10 is riding them.

I think in the current era where social media dominates everything makes it easier to be big name pro and live wherever you want, as long as you can produce footage, but that is a recent transition. Prior to this, most Canadian guys had to move to California or at least Vancouver to get things popping off career-wise.

Morgan is one of the most talented and genuinely nice pros I have ran across randomly through skating. Wherever he is going, I hope it is a place that treats him well.

Morgan owns (or co-owns) kadence dist in canada

Or be Mark appleyard who didn't have to do shit. Bobby D is nice like that.

Mark Appleyard has lived in Cali since he was like 19. His career didn't blow up until he moved to the States.

Not true. He was on habitat or alien while being touted as the new motherfucker (by u.s mags) from the get go while still living in Hamilton. And yes of course he then moved to the states. But suggesting that mark appleyard had to do this just to make an impact is laughable.

Anyone ever have those weird aluminum boards by blind back in the day? I tried every piece of “tech” skateboards that have ever come out except those new Powell decks, and every single one I tried was awful.....except those damn aluminum composite decks.
-
i had a metal board once, it came from walmart or something. nothing like the canada rock hard maple
-
The only two I've seen that seemed ok we're the chapman with the plastic insert and the Schmitt bumper board.

Christian Slater had a sick one in Gleaming the Cube.
