I'm close enough commuting distance from the theater, but I don't have the wristband, so I'd have to try my luck for the first-come-first-serve second showing, and idk when I should show up, if it'll be hella packed, etc.

First and foremost, if anyone in the 9:00 showing was airdropped a photo of a parrot with an uncircumcised cock, I'm not sorry.
Down to brass tacks: the video is great. Starts with a proper introduction, something I miss seeing.
Justin Henry has first part, can't remember much in terms of specifics beyond a wallie over a gap to a noseblunt on a down ledge but he's super well-rounded with a solid style and a great trick selection. I imagine a lot of people who were whining about how he "wasn't good enough" for Quasi and Vans will be changing their tunes, and quick.
Tyler Bledsoe has a mini-part of sorts, maybe a minute and a half of footage? His back tail, backside 360 kickflip got some cheers. This isn't a diss but for who he is and his role on the team, it's fitting.
Josh Wilson skates super fast and does wild shit over bump-to-bars (including a varial flip) and skates a bunch of NYC spots that you wouldn't recognize as spots when you pass them. Set to Kate Bush. Possibly my favorite part.
There's a brief interlude with mixed format Jake Johnson and Al Davis footage that's really well done for what it is. Lots of Jake's footage is Gravis footage and ads you'd forgotten about (there's a Dylan cameo) and they both have some recent tricks to keep you sated. Al switch back 180s over that bar in San Francisco that Austyn frontside flipped, and Jake nollie 180 switch backside 50-50s that white hubba in Tokyo.
Dick Rizzo does all the crazy ride-on grind and wallie variations you've come to expect from him (backside half cab to frontside wallride down Bellsouth), plus some more random tech shit. One of his bangers was a backside nosegrind, backside 180 into Grant's Tomb. Skates to Portishead.
Gilbert Crockett closes it out with some big pants and bigger pipe. Lots of Richmond spots, you can tell he was really in his element for this one. I recall him ending a line with a kickflip back smith on a super tall ledge and some crazy ollies over fences, as well as those manuals he was so juiced on in his last part. Jon Rowe and Ty Beall have guest tricks.
Honestly, I think this might be one of my personal favorite videos to come out in years. It checks all the boxes for me: tons of America footage, plenty of weird noise music, great visuals (think AWS inspired, but not a bite), and, of course, great skating. You can tell everyone took this one really seriously. Good work, Quasi.

Sat behind Alex Olson which was cool but he had this stupid beanie on that had one of those balls on top of it so I didn't see much of the video due to serious blockage. What i did see was bonkers. Justin Henry crooked grind transfers that downhill rail Muska boardslides in fulfill the dream. Crocket killed it. Pants were more bigger than previous parts. He might be on JNCO nowadays. video was dece. all the ams kinda stood out more for me, especially justin henry. i think i remember gilbert having some heavy stuff. a little disappointed by jake johnsons stuff as it all looked like mindfield throwaway, but it was still all right too. video felt pretty short.

At least in regards to Dane, I was told that Chad just wanted the video to focus on the guys who had been filming it from the outset. Don’t know why any of the others wouldn’t be involved if they are on the team, but that’s supposedly why Dane isn’t in there.
Seems like Drake has been involved for about as long as Justin Henry so I would’ve thought he’d have footage in there too.

Justin Henry and Josh Wilson had the best parts, IMO. The rest killed it in their own right, but didn’t give me the feeling that those two parts did.

Intro was very sick, acapela choir boy song that’s a cover of a mainstream 90s song but it’s escaping me. Built the right amount of hype.
Justin Henry’s part is sick. Good introduction to him as an established AM I guess you could put it. Does some crazy stuff in well known spots, or hard to skate iconic spots. Rewatch value is there.
People are gonna talk shit on Bledsoe’s part, but I’m a Bledsoe fan so I appreciated his solid 1:30 part, such sick trick/spot selection. Cool seeing him pretty much only skate Portland spots.
Josh Wilson has really come into his style recently IMO. Always liked his stuff, but this is HIS part. Crazy bump bar maneuvers, spot selection, pop, lot of unexpected tricks in there. I’ve been to his ender, and I can’t believe he did that to be honest, didn’t think anything more than a ollie, 180 or kickflip was possible. Kate Bush song goes too.
Honestly if they didn’t change the ratio on the HD footage for Al and JJ you kinda wouldn’t have noticed that it’s a bit dated, but some jaw dropping shit from JJ, can’t believe he was sitting on some of those. Al’s vx stuff is super good too. I know he had a knee injury that took him out, but I’m gonna be honest and say I don’t think we’ll ever get a full AL part ever again. Nice raw interlude though.
Dick fucking Rizzo. This dude can make every trick look so fucking, cool, hard, and somehow easy for him all at the same time. He has two songs and goes the fuck in. His part is one of the standouts I think. Does some insane shit in NY to be expected but god damn. Dudes got it.
Gilby. The pants are perfect. The mannys are insane. The rails. Dude. He has a hefty amount of footage and the curtains. He has the best part and I think the best song. He’s lowkey an ATV. Love the amount of Richmond footage, and the amount of nyc footage he has when he was living there for a summer.
Overall there is no real vibe to the video, b roll is random vhs clips kinda like their original promo, random color blocking on some b roll clips similar to that plain color block with white box board they did which I guess makes sense. In a way it’s random but that’s kinda what Quasi is and literally what their name means so maybe it all does make sense and I’m thinking too deep into it.
Can’t wait to rewatch. I have a feeling this will be their only full length though.

Saw Gilbert's part today at my local shop. Loved it. So stoked he skated to Alan Vega. Wasn't sure on the song (whether it was Suicide or Alan Vega solo stuff), but knew right away it was one or the other. In my mind, he chose this. But I loved the tricks and while I would never attempt to imitate his clothing style, I LOVE IT. Gilbert once again nails it. Well done boys.

i liked the video, but a lot of movie/tv b-roll clips felt random and kinda lazy. they didnt pull it off nearly as well as green apple or bronze. maybe the 411 thing went over my head, but i didnt think it was all that clever/funny either. a little bummed that all of jakes stuff was so old, but there was still some good stuff in there. gilbert went hard, too much good stuff to name, but ill throw out his switch back nosegrind on the bank to ledge at the airport and his back 360 manny. i really liked his back heel over the tipped over orange cone too

However, the quality of skating in this video felt like a local homie video full of the left overs of the good guys who are off in California for the summer and are using all their latest stuff for their "real" sponsors. Yes, the editing fits the aesthetic. No, the skating was not what I was expecting despite being really good.
Maybe that was the point? Bring skating back to earth? Burn down the facade? I don't know. I still love what Q is doing.

You’re a moron. The skating in this was amazing. I’m not a big fan of the edit, I think it fell flat in certain parts, but you can not deny that the skating was amazing. Everyone did a great job and had pretty solid parts. Bledsoe was a little disappointing as well as Al Davis, but apparently Al was injured. Jake had some really sick stuff from the end of his Gravis days and pre Converse. Josh and Dick had really good parts. Gilbert had curtains and had a solid style with basically a better version of his Gospel part.

The video is a classic in my eyes.
Did not get they hype on Justin Henry before but damn that part made me change my mind. Dick Rizzo went hard as fuck, and Gilbert got the curtains with some crazy ass lines and a lot of pop. Jake and Al's part was sick, sure the footy isn't as new but it was god damn fire, and Al was the most stylish one of the vid. Sick soundtrack, and the editing was interesting and you can see the inspiration of other stuff but still kept its own unique vibe.

Slap hasnt gassed a video up this much since Tilt Mode Bonus Round. Like its a pretty good vid, but its not that much better than Purple, and it wont be impossible for the new Supreme vid to eclipse it. Not a diss because I do like this vid.
That said my favorite part was Bledsoe's because stealing the show with 2 minutes of mostly low impact skating and disappearing again is the most 1999 shit Ive seen in a while. Also excellent song choice.
Considering how cryptic Quasi is 'Band on the run' is a cool song choice as early 2010s AWS was overkill like the Beatles and all their offsprings have been pretty entertaining. If FA is some dope but weird John Lennon shit, then Quasi is a Paul McCartney project thats a little closer in spirit to what 'cinematographer project' AWS was about.
The big knock with this vid is that all the ams going harder than most of the pros will only ever work for Zero and Toy Machine...

Considering how cryptic Quasi is 'Band on the run' is a cool song choice as early 2010s AWS was overkill like the Beatles and all their offsprings have been pretty entertaining. If FA is some dope but weird John Lennon shit, then Quasi is a Paul McCartney project thats a little closer in spirit to what 'cinematographer project' AWS was about.
I really like this Beatles comparison. The Beatles were the first band I remember listening to and deciding that I legitimately enjoyed, kinda like Mindfield, being one of the first videos I ever watched, was the first to make me go "holy shit." AWS 2.0 is just a cover band to me. It's still good, but I don't think it could ever be great.
I really love this video, but I think part of that has to do with avoiding spoilers for it. It was awesome to watch it for the first time at the local premiere, but looking at all the hype on here after watching it, I can totally understand being a little let down. That being said, it has a high rewatchability IMO. I was most looking forward to Justin Henry's part after watching his OPM part a bunch leading up to this, and his part didn't let down. I don't think it would be hard to argue for this to be Gilbert's career part. Dick Rizzo's part has grown on me the most over he last few rewatches.
Definitely gonna be skating a Quasi board next, so I guess I'd consider this video a success.

Quasi is sick, the video ruled. My favorite part was when Josh Wilson's back wheels hit the ground first after doing a kickflip over a bump to bar. Little things like that make tricks way more awesome.

Skipped to gilberts part, good, he's like loosin his weird style a little. Honestly don't even feel the need to watch the whole thing now. Internet fucked up my attention span, and the vibe wasn't that interesting, pretty normal and didn't catch my eyes. I'm just waiting for baker4 man, I ain't hating though.

Great skating, great music (it kind of weirds me out how well the song choices align with my tastes), but the camera(s) they used to film this video lessened it all for me. Idk, I don’t usually care about that kind of stuff but this HD made all the footage look off? It also seemed like multiple cameras were used and it reminded me of Real’s Since Day One. Overall rad video though.

nice video. kind of randomly edited, but that's alright. cool music. there's no reason to skip around in this video since it's so short and every part is good. some serious bangers hidden in the credits! like a very nice al davis line. dick rizzo just looks fucking great skating, his trick selection is kind of basic and weird at the same time but the execution and the spot always make it come together nicely.

EDIT: Fantastic stuff. Love the og east coast early 2000s vibes with the music, editing etc. Great to see a video full of spots I haven't seen killed to oblivion.
I wasn't famililar with Dick Rizzo before this. He kills it and has dope style. His crooks revert ender blew my mind. All parts were really good. Gilbert deserved last part.
Lastly, no introductory titles is weird. Other than the pros, most of these guys aren't super recognisable or well known. Guess I'm pretty out of the loop these days.

i agree with some folks on here who say it is kind of underwhelming, random vibes to it. still, lots of good stuff. Justin, Josh, Dick and Gilby have definitely rewatchable parts. i remember thinking there were a lot of bump to bars in this video and Dick Rizzo's switch skating is quite good. Gilbert's part is very memorable, the back 3 manual had me jumping out of my seat. Gino tribute?

Tyler Bledsoe doesn't get talked about enough and I've never understood why. He is one of the greatest skateboarders of his generation. Can do mind bending tech, can go big, throws down casual gnar everywhere, it's all there. Legitimately one of the most underrated and least talked about. Even going all the way back to Mindfield, which I felt he had arguably one of the two best parts in.
Gilbert is phenomenal. I loved his part in Propeller but this is another level up from that. I get there's probably pressure deciding what clips to give your shoe sponsor and your board sponsor but clearly he didn't just save his best stuff for Vans. He put in heavy work for Quasi.
