I’m booking my plane ticket today headed for Montreal.  Can’t wait to get a big prerolled jay the moment I step of my plane from Florida.  Anyone else going this year?

Enjoy it. Montreal is one of the best skate cities in North America and the Glory Challenge looks fun. Eat poutine every day and try a bagel from St Viateur.

The invitations are incredible, Ishod and Delatore posted them on their stories. It's a box that screams their name when it opens, with speed shades on a foam cut out.

I'm stoked that Ishod finally got an invite. I wanna see Jamal and Ishod skating with each other like it's Sabotage 3 again.

Anyone got any Dime contest ideas? I am sure those guys lurk here enough to give them some ideas. Would love to see some fresh things this year. Not always just the usual speed challenge and gangsta pose.

I went to the contest last year for the first time and it was fucking amazing! Going back again this year. One of the only "contests" I even watch. Good vibe, great city, 5 dollar LaBatt pale ales all day during the event.

to keep the wrestling theme going, how about some sort of money in the bank ladder match. but instead of the participants having to climb a ladder to try to grab the briefcase hanging from the ceiling, you hang the briefcase above a vert wall so that the skaters have to try to wallride high enough to grab it. and they have to do it wearing a bleached mullet wig and pink dolphin shorts as an homage to the dynamic dudes.

I think there's a live feed somewhere. I remember seeing a livestream somewhere last year. May have been through Vans.

I was in Vancouver this past December and walked straight into the first dispensary I saw and walked out with flower with just my Florida drivers license.  Not too worried about it.  And neither is the leniency in Canada, already.

That wallride thing is going to be fucked can't wait to see it..

While I like these very much yet I feel like it's kind of loosing it's genuineness because every year there will be more and more quests paid by their sponsors rather than before  it was a little local event with few bigger names "wade"  "sluggo" "valdez"..  Though it's nice to have these kind of events when we are going in the olympics in a couple of years..

The only way I can think to stream from my TV would to connect my macbook to my tv via HDMI to Lightning cable so my TV acts like a monitor.

DC is much better off investing their money sponsoring this event every year and collaborating with Dime then sponsoring the Borrics. Don't think I've seen anyone come on here and openly back the Berra and co. unless they are blatantly trolling. Dime on the other hand has credibility within the skateboard community from regular people, as well as pros who aren't even on the Dime team. If Dime is good enough for JJ then they are good enough for me.

Would love to make it up to Canada to check this out next year. Do they sell tickets for it or can you just attend?

guys seriously: those are joke checks. the prize money is not 250K each. to put it in perspective each street league event (global circuit, run by nike, olympic precursor, on tv, ticketed, etc) splits roughly that same amount

the entire dgc is not even that expensive, less than 100K (maybe closer to 75) in travel/hotel for competitors, venue, rentals, logistics, insurance. takes place at a skate park with a few funny efx/extras/props. it's free to attend. it's for fun. most people going make their own way there just to hang out and skate. dime is still a small company. like today to wrap up the weekend they're running a jump rump onto a hill bomb, ok. it's not a million dollar party

also: DC's deal w/ berrics is not comparable here, a different time/space/reason. that was a long term partnership with what was once a major platform that DC felt had run its course (true). DC cut a lot of vets/pivoted to a younger team around the same time too remember

I also thought those check amounts seemed suspect (weck 50k?) but the other option is that it’s a joke? Jump off a 20 ft+ wall onto a ramp with our name on it and then we will pretend to give your broke ass a big check, but it’s just for show!

It is gnarly the dude even went out there and pulled off the shit that he did. Also, he hung on for a while on before he got the E. He would miss, push through, and get the trick on the second try. He did this like 4 times. Dude is human and not a robot. We can't expect pros to be skating 100% all the time and we can't expect them always to be tossing down enders.

For Ishod's health it would have been better if he had someone come in after a letter or two (Frank Gerwer would have been amazing!), but to say he didn't try strikes me as a bit extreme, dude pushed through being injured to put on a show for the crowd.

Ishod set sw lazer, fakie bigger flip, sw and reg inward heel, sw and reg varial heel, impossible, and a bunch of other stuff. That alone would have been enough to take out a lot of people. On the defense he landed easily twice as much. Hurt or not, his game would probably have taken out most anybody in the house, especially with the pressure. Ishod is soty for life, anybody suggesting Wade got off easy is a joke.

Ishod is a champ for even playing, his ankle was obviously fucked. Yuris frontshuv nosegrind/crook in the speed challenge was crazy. Dustin Henry's 180 fakie manual on the volcano was nuts. I legitimately thought I was witnessing one of the brians burn to death. I wish Yuri got the hardflip nosegrind. Weck's entrance was legendary. Kader is unreal. So fucking good. Hillbomb contest today was a lot of fun. Long ollie was crazy. Hugo ending the whole thing was nice. Dime really makes skating awesome. So awesome. I have infinite good things to say about the contest. I can't wait until next year.

Didn't seem him land much, again woth the feed musta missed that, all I saw was him miss trick's, not try trick's, then it was over. Not mad at all about it. Don't care who wins, just making an observation that he looked I jured and he was. Third, would make sense if he looked lax if he was hurt. So chill out , eh.

I was worried he might get hurt before hand. In the Dan Plunkett bunt interview, when asked about who he thought might win the game of skate, Dan talked about how Ishod can't not skate. Last week he was back smithing video part size handrails for instagram. His story is like a daily video part. The dudes from the bunt were talking about how Wade won't even touch his board before the game of skate.

i flew from aus to copenhagen just to see the contest last year and those dick bags got in the way a lot. taking over vans park series is also dick. have to give em a fake email so they can send you trash marketing if you wanna watch on the vans website.

The gladiator challenge seems like the most boring thing to watch and they should just drop it. Maybe add some type of american gladiator rotating padded batons contraption to a ledge or a some other obstacle for added danger factor and skip this tic tacing madness
