so, Iīm gonna travel from SF - Portland - Seattle to Vancouver (BC) and have a couple of weeks time - i made the experience, that you get the best travel-recommendations (where to stay/camp, eat (hopefully lots and lots of seafood), skate, bars, concerts...) at core-skateshops, better than any Tourist-centre - at least in Europe itīs the case.
Can anyone suggest me skateshops with cool people to talk to AND a nice little westcoast-boardbrand - cause i just bring my trucks with me and would like to buy a board, which i wouldnīt get in Europe?!
OR, if you can suggest something specific by yourself, feel free to tell me.
I would really appreciate this....
cheers coil

I second this. I would say go to 35th North though, just cause then you can go skate the tennis courts right around the corner

also Cal Skate in Portland. Board brands... Dieta, Fixer, Rose, Killing Floor... and others I'm forgetting right now... Shrunken Head has cool shop boards also.

35th North
Antisocial in vancouver

Unknown in Bellingham, should you make it that far north.

black market skateshop in seattle rules and has a little diy quarter out front

in vancouver you have antisocial and menu, antisocial probably hosts a show/party of some kind during the weekend. in terms of product they have a lot of the same, but antisocial seems to have more smaller brands.
if you skate tranny go to hastings, give your empties to joyce.
if you skate street to go plaza first and meet someone to show you all of the not so good spots but still fun ones around town. the slappy curbs are fun if you come from a european city without proper slappy curbs.
if it rains, just get drunk at a bar. brassneck is ok for daytime and lido or boxcar in the evening.
