Thanks !

There is this amazing skate plaza in the city which is the best ledge spot I have ever skated and when I was there you could skate it all day. I have always wondered why it is not featured more frequently in skate videos. First spot in this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48hoStZ3NtY
if you want to see the whole spot watch this clip of this wanna be skate vlogger with broken english.

They also just built this amazing new skatepark right in the center of the city.

This skatepark in the small town of Schefflange is worth the 30 minute drive from Luxemburg. It has a cool steep bowl with pool coping, if you are into that kind of stuff.

As for nightlife there pretty much is none. Luxemburg sucks at everything, but skateparks and skate spots. Just a bunch of rich fucks and designer stores.

The Kirchberg (first spot mentionned by S.) is one of the best out there.
There is just everything, ledges, rails, stairs, manny pads, flat rails, wallride over stairs, hubba...
There is a lot of another spots, just ask at Olliewood skateshop they will tell you where to go !

Wow, the Kirchberg plaza looked amazing. How expensive is the place? Could you get away cheap through a hostel or AirBNB?
Also, my gut feeling says that the streets are smooth and the city really hilly, I'd that correct?

I believe that Airbnb would be pretty much like in France, because as I remember food prices were the same.
Gasoline and cigarettes are way cheaper though, because there are les taxes in Luxembourg.
As for beer, I think it's cheaper in Germany and it's like 30 min in car from Luxembourg.
Your friend is right, street are smooth and there are quite good downhills !
