Inspired by the Jenkem thread. I remember reading that Patrick Ryan already had a couple of concussions at a young age. Also Nyjah's "Til' Death" intro blacked-out slam alone could be enough. Anyone else?

David Gravette has said in an interview somewhere that he has some symptoms of CTE, which is not suprising.

Basically any rail chomper should definitely be on high alert. ISUCK, Duffel, Heath, Gravette, Foy, Curren, Kader (that one in particular terrifies me), Figgy, Clive, etc etc.

Prolly me. You can feel the effects forever. Since my last 3 I feel a tad cringey and don't love cycling too fast or vert. (edit I don't know what a cte is but assume its concussion related)

Arto for sure. In his My War, I remember he didnt even narrate it. TK did for him, because Arto said he has hit his head so many times he doesnt even remember doing the trick.

Played both types footballs. Hit my head a shit ton skating. Also hit my hit while being drunk a few times. Had a lot of concussions.

For example, MJ never really went that big, but that was a vicious looking slam in Fully Flared slamming his head off concrete on that front blunt.

Fuck, that slam was seriously horrible to watch. Really reminds me of Duffel’s That’s Life slam. The one that he talked about in an interview once and said that he went to bed that night after the slam and woke up with blood leaking out of his ear. That has scared me ever since reading it.

I met this dude a million years ago the night before he was supposed to do a demo. He and Randy Colvin were out of control. He arrived at the demo the next day still high on something and looking like he hadn't slept in weeks. He took a quite a few unnecessary slams.

The dime videos of them all saying stay down to I wanna say dan lu or some look like made me feel a little bit better about this thread . Like people are starting to take it a bit more seriously. After that welcome to deathwish part I honestly think Pedro Delfino will be the first person to just straight up die skating. That part was hard to watch half his slams are him just jumping 15 feet into the ground head first.

this may have been the worst slam i've ever seen. broken bones are nasty, but the way he folded on his neck and face was fucking horrifying.
