A great read to say the least. One thing I've always liked about Gillette's interviews is how thorough his responses are. Being off WKND is also officially discussed.

That was so dull. He managed to say nothing in 40 paragraphs.
He comes across real corpo. Up tight and self congratulatory.

the only legit surf/skate brand out there, guys and gals

the clothing isn't too bad, cropped trousers, cool

Austyn rips. I am bummed he left WKND. He fit so well. His part in “Who’s to say?” was incredible. If someone asked me to show them a video of the kind of skateboarding I liked I would show them one of his parts.

I completely agree. His recent Thrasher interview ruled too. Again, rather personal and the photos that accompanies it were great (Radiant Cure content). As for the colts, they are top notch. The shirts are excellent quality, fit well, and the pants are on an insane level. Yes, they are high waters, but they have great stretch to them and maintain their fit through several sessions. The best part is they can be skated in and/or worn as a nice pant out.

I mean I kind of agree with that though. What other surf/skate brands are there, period? Quiksilver? Volcom?

And I think out of all those brands, yeah I'd probably rather have Former gear so...

i really appreciate how he can admit he doesnt know much about board design or whatever and will leave that up to other people in his company. otherwise it would probably be just like 917s inspired aesthetic
