"power violence" is a music genre which originated in 80s punk/hardcore, it was popular in the mid and late 90s with bands like Siege, Dropdead, and Spazz. Powerviolence is just like the skating a lot of these bands liked and made music about. This music can make your heart rush the same way skating does and I wanted to share it with everyone on Slap, and maybe find more people who like it too.

Good punk music at a park is a hard balance. Nothing too cheesy(so fuck majority of hard bands), nothing that’s too much in a certain vein. The other day some dude was playing slipknot and he tried explaining how Slipknot was like the frequency he felt his skating played at. That make sense?
Anyway— I like a lil bit more melody. Maybe I’m getting old. My skating frequency used to play at Dawn of Humans and now it’s more like Black Easter. I 100% recommend listening to the Ready to Rot Lp. Shit’s sooooooo good
