Where's stereo getting the money to do this? Two pros in one month??

Damn, lo and behold, $25 for a box set of A Visual Sound and Tincan Folklore signed by Pastras and JLee. Weird. Is that how cheap Stereo's legacy has become? It's honestly amazing it's still a company, but perhaps they're going the Black Label route where they never stop making boards, it just becomes less and less frequent during down times. Original Stereo was so sick, but I'm tired of them pushing it down our throats how sick it once was.

They should go back and form a team that actually puts out stylish footage. Having Jordan Hoffart and Yoshi as 2/3 of the pro roster is spitting on the original image of the company. Maybe if they do that, people will naturally remember what Stereo used to be about instead of them having to remind us, since obviously it isn't the same

Stereo was only good for a few short years. They've been shitty for 99% of their existence. Even Stereo 2.0 with Dollin and JR Neves was a lame shadow of real Stereo.

Feels like a PR move to let youngsters know there's a skate company called Stereo. I could see him on Remive.

Yoshi can fuckin throw down and I'm glad he's pro, less glad it was for 2018-era Stereo.

Still can't get over just how awful of a decision it was to turn John Lupfer pro, no matter how good the dude still skates. Michael Sieben could have brought back Bueno for 1 day just to turn Nick McLouth pro, and that would've been a better business decision.

I remember, but had forgotten. Wonder of they kicked him of for not turning pro fast enough, it if it was because he was still sponsored by Stereo.
I like Yoshi. MD represent.

I feel Stereo got fucked when Giant Distribution went out of business. Maybe, if Giant would have held it together Stereo would be in a better place. I mean starting off the "re-boot" with Clint Peterson and Benny Fairfax was a great decision. Both of those dudes rip.

I think I still have a copy of Way Out East, which was an awesome tour video.

Turning pro for Stereo is like marrying someone you accidentally impregnated.

I agree on Clint Peterson and Benny being good choices for the reboot, but it was like the 4th reboot. Even when they went to Giant they were entirely different than what they were before Jason Lee went Hollywood and they became just another company. That sounds like a teenage thing to say, but when he went full time actor Pastras or whoever was steering the ship went with what everybody else was doing and once you do that, that's what you are. We always talk about skaters coasting for decades off one or two videos, but Stereo is a whole brand that's done it. Real went generic too but their team and product are killer.

I was invited by some friends to go out and film with James park (my mans and them) and yoshi was there. Truly jaw dropping to see him skate in person. My wives cousin grew up skating with him and said he could do every flat ground trick imaginable when he was like 15

He does have fun on his skateboard though!

Yes, but on the other hand, him and his cornball friends film themselves on curbs with death lenses and shit and come off as taking themselves way to seriously, while looking like a bunch of kooks in the process...curbs and death lenses?! GTFO.... I love curbs and all but him and his lame crew claiming that shit makes it super unappealing.

Shitty LA industry skate culture really took a number on this one...IMO.
