I didn't say everyone fucks with him. It's just like everything else in skating different little pockets that have slightly different culture and slightly different people they fuck with.

Raven's cool factor was definitely elevated by Chocolate/Lakai. Even as those brands have slid downhill they still make me take a second look at a guy who I otherwise wouldn't have paid attention too. Often they've been right, but of course not always. Look for Raven riding a Monster skateboard all the way to olympic bronze.

I don't get the tranny guy in a team of street dudes idea. Street fans have to FF through a part they don't care about, tranny fans have to buy a video full of ledge shit they have no appreciation for or, more likely, don't ever get to see the one guy they might be hyped on.
They probably don't even want to hit the same spots on tour.
That said, unless he's physically moving north to DLX territory he'll probably skate for some SoCal based company because that's the way this shit tends to work.

ya. thought once they were established crailtap would've given raven & elijah their own company (before elijah bailed obvs). instead of trying to fit anti-hero/atv types on chocolate, just do their own version of it with those two as the main pros and grow it from there
elijah & raven are both popular individually/in their own right (some might disagree with that tho), just a bit different from what chocolate is known for is all

Yes I agree that it would be weird for Raven to go to the team that most matches his skating. It would be also weird for him to go to that team since he seems to skate their boards. He should definitely stay on Chocolate. It is the best fit.
Raven rips and I like watching his footage even if he was on the wrong side of the 10/10 thing.

I like Raven, definitely one of the gnarliest and smoothest transition guys, he goes all in. He's motorhead and not shy about it, I like that. He's not really trying to fit in and that's sick.
As long as Chocolate can keep paying him and the team / company doesn't change too much, meaning his people are still there, why would he leave? Can't be for money because the real money is elsewhere anyway, not boards. Chocolate looks good on your CV when shopping for shoe sponsors.

I don't hate chocolate by any means, ive probably bought more crailtap product over the years than any other skate brand. However it breaks my heart to see their fall from grace, they are a very very far cry from what they once were and it does not seem they are gaining any momentum.

In the mid to late 90’s I used to buy the shit out of Status decks, because they were super inexpensive, and I was young. But nowadays I could see Raven going back to Creature, and as an homage to Sam “Ace” Rothstein he would give the following announcement:
“But in the end, I wound up right back where I started. I could still pick winners, and I could still make money for all kinds of people back home. And why mess up a good thing? And that’s that.”

I always thought it was funny when Crail dudes rode Antihero boards. I get it came form beauty and the beast and its all family according to Raven, but its not like you see any of the Antihero guys riding girl boards. Whether its an inside joke or not it doesn't help Crail at all right now during their decline when even the last few riders they have wont ride their product. Raven is sick though, He's an idiot but he's sick.

Obviously DLX and Crailtap are cozy but it's kind of painful to see this guy who is literally paid to promote their product blowing them off like that.
