So fucking insane. Glad he finally got on Hockey
Queff fucking sucks
-
that was so sick!
the spots looked rough as guts!
hopefully they upload the whole video as one piece because i'd like to take it all in one, uninterupted sitting!
-
wish he didn't skate to that rotten whore wench of a murderer. Rest in paint Courtney.

-
wow, jed is the best.
-
twas good
ill be buying this when they put it out
-
So do they purposely do the audio like shit in all these parts?
-
Dude has always been good and really fun to watch but man, he got activated here. Wouldn't mind seeing him get paid by hockey and Vans, Hope he's filming for the Vans Canada video. Looking forward to parts from John Lennie and the guy Ryan that looks like a little kid

Great part, a lot of rough spots.
He had multiple clips in Adidas though, think they're just old?
-
He's on Adidas.
-
still one of my favorite underground skaters. anyone know why he stopped getting boards from 917? i know he was one of the earliest riders.
-
vans/917 footage dump? props to blue tile either way, everyone's parts so far are tight. jed on hockey thru supra or legit? his skating seems to fit, that long hubba boardslide ender was tuff
as someone points out on thrasher, dude def snowboards goofy which seems... unusual. anyone ever heard of that, opposite stances for skate/snow?
Vans Canada video
oh word, when's this dropping? they got a solid squad
-
That Gio Vacca guy posted a photo of Jake Kuzyk holding an HPX saying that he's working on a Vans Canada video
-
I think AO mentioned on one of his podcasts that he put the first batch of kids on 917 (including this dude) with the hopes that hooking them up would make them want to progress, but it turns out they didn't feel the need to progress because they were already being hooked up. Not sure if he was specifically referring to Jed when he said that, but I'm psyched to see him back at it. He definitely stepped it up from the last time I saw him in Squad Massage.

Yes. I have a couple friends who do this.

i think when jed was on the bunt he mentioned 917 going out of business at one point a couple years and everyone getting flow stopped getting flow. maybe someone else said that

One must avoid pushing mongo by any means necessary.

Wasn’t he the next big thing in snowboarding and he ghosted on that to just live in Toronto and skate/make art with his mates? Kinda cool if so.

That was Genesis he was talking about.
The part was insane very much looking forward to the rest of the video.

An actual snowboarder could answer better but he IS a big thing in snowboarding. Does giant rails switch and used to win tons of contests as a kid. Friends who snowboard say he is one of the few that got huge and stayed cool, didnt go the nyjah/sean white route.

Pretty rad. I thought about Gummo while watching that.
Thanks to the editor for the lack of hole in the head stock footy. Actually enjoyed this mix of clips intertwined between the ripping.
Didn't realize this guy killed it on a snowboard as well.
-
Interesting article about how he isn't a sponsored snowboarder at the moment

dude definitely skates like a snowboarder, and i dont mean that as a diss in any way. lots of intensely big, high speed board/lipslides, 50s and gaps.
-
Great part. Snowboarding is in a super weird spot right now where guys like him can't get paid what they're "worth" by anybody, so can't make a deal happen. Might not matter in some ways, he's definitely more psyched on skateboarding right now from what I've heard.

he's on adidas (snow) and has a new intro part (snow) dropping sometime soon, but yeah nike fucked the whole industry (snow)

I can tell you how I rationalized it.
The first time I got on my brother's skateboard, my right leg felt sturdiest, so I pushed with my left. I skate goofy.
I learned to snowboard in choppy, shitty snow - it was easier to start a turn if I was leaning back, so I put ol' sturdy right leg in the back, just to fuck my sense of symmetry forever.
-
imagine if ishod or gt didnt have a shoe and board sponsor

Oh yeah there's loads of em...water or snow it doesnt matter but
if your feet are attached to your board you sometimes ride the other way than when your feet are not attached to your board.
So you surf and skate the same way but if you strap in the bindings and go to snow or water it's another story...

believe it when i see it. heard this a few months ago and hes still wearing vans.

nike gave him sbs when he was on snow, maybe adidas doesnt?

that was dope

There were a couple clips in this that he was wearing Adidas

sick classic tricks, done really well on really shitty spots.
loved it.
-
That was great. Jed has been killing it forever and I feel like he's been seen around quite a bit... How come he never got hooked up before except for that 917 flow (when they were just starting and barely a "real thing)? Is it because of the snowboard thing?

We desperately need Jed back in Snowboarding; he was/is fucking unreal:
1. He approaches Snowboarding like a Skater and was one of the first to do so.
People used to see a rail/feature and think of a trick to do down it.
Jed's dropping in 1km up the road linking together little ollies over fences with nose bonks, wallrides, and other weird shit before he throws himself down a set.
I.e. He opened everyones eyes to what a creative line looks like in Snowboarding.
2. Everything he does is faultless, scarily so.
Doesn't matter if BS boardslide, switch backlip or he's spinning 270 into that shit, he always lands perfectly sideways on the rail (none of this weak 75 degree shit we call zeaching), and is always right in the middle of his board, every time. Applies for every trick.
I.e. He never tic tacs, scrapes his manuals, rockets his flips etc. Does everything perfect like Mark Suciu.
3. He does insanely technical tricks on unneccessarily large rails, can throw his carcass into the air when needed, and has impeccable trick selection and riding style.
He's a rare breed of ATV.
I.e. He has the abilities of a CK1 mixed with Ishod mixed with Grant Taylor with the Internationally respected style of a Gino.
This part illustrates much of the above, and it came out back in 2011 when he was still a little kid, following which he just continued to get better with age (he snowboards Goofy for reference):

That's accurate; I always chalked it up to having a fucked left ankle.
I Snowboard Goofy, Skate & Surf Regular and the few times I've been Wakeboarding I've been Goofy.
Chris Grenier, an old Salomon teammate of Jeds Snowboards Regular and Skates Goofy.
A bunch of others I can't think off the top of my head right now.
It's helped my switch Snowboarding a shit tonne.

pretty much exactly that.
-
Kinda makes me smile that Jed and Jake Kuzyk are both pro snowboarders, and both SLAP approved. That's got to be the hardest trick in skateboarding.
-
That restored my faith in humanity for the next few months at least.
