Title: Madrid
Post by: woodinbrine on September 17, 2018, 08:39:14 AM
I might get a job in Madrid for three weeks, and I would like to skate while there.
However, while looking at Madrid skate stuff online I saw a couple articles about street skating being banned there   ???
Does anyone know if this is actually enforced? One article said that fines would be 200€ in low traffic areas and up to 500€ in busy areas and rush hour. I can’t afford being caught a single time if that’s true so in that case I guess it’ll be skateparks only for me.

That law never went trough, so there's no fines for pushing around the streets.

I been many times in Madrid but never skated, just go to  Sk8land or welcome and get all the information about the spots.

Check out Tetuan and Escombro DIY, great looking spots. Madrid is huge and there's also a lot spots in the towns surrounding the City

The people from the welcome- Shop are the best! Borja let me sleep on his futon for two days and and I got to skate their indoor. If you like tranny you need to check out the skatepark in Alcobendas. It's the cooles tranny park I have ever skated.

Alright, good to know about that law, thanks.

Yeah I looked at some pics of different parks and spots and they look pretty nice!
As for tranny I love skating mini ramps but actually never tried bowls or anything like that so that could be cool.

Spewing, but hey at least you guys can take a plane like 4 hours and go to like a million different places
Seriously how good is it there though like all that tapas food and it’s nice and sunny

Sounds mad weird but for cheap holiday go back there and do this religious walk no shit its technically a pilgrimage, sounds corny as shit but I was pissing it up every night you go all the way through to finisterre they got mad seafood there and I don’t remember talking to anyone about their god saw heaps of jesus type shit though like churches and shit, fucked around in a bunch of castles too

No shit you walk through all these tiny villages and randomly there’s a tiny plaza with mad granite ledges
Mad just for a think too cause you walk for like 5 hours a day but still that’s fuck all, hella time to do cool shit
Full shit when it rains though I remember walking down off this fucken mountain like full pissing down couldn’t see fuck all, full foggy or whatever had backpack and board all wrapped in plastic still everything got wet to fuck

Full saw random barns with full off grid stoner cunts in em cunts with ramps and shit like that

I remember they had these caves for sale full shitholes but they were like 1000 euros
Still though like if you flew to Spain for your holiday you wouldn’t go chill in the cave so not worth it

That time was maybe ten years ago and I spent more cause of weed cigs and beers but you could full do it for 35 euros a day back then but that’s just on food and accomodation I woulda been spending like 50 easy still cheap as for a holiday I reckon

If you are near the Escombro DIY, check out Paradis skateshop. https://www.paradisskateshop.com/en/collections/tablas-paradis (https://www.paradisskateshop.com/en/collections/tablas-paradis)

Their shop decks are around 50 euros and are Prime LA wood. I'm riding a 8.25 shop deck right now and it's pretty dope. If you are into shaped decks they also have the Jovontae and Jef Hartsel shapes as well.

Follow @santinopiech the main filmer for Welcome and a lot of other projects for good spots. Most of them are outside of the centre and so are the decent skateparks unfortunately. Welcome Skateshop again is the best, they'll help with spots if you roll through. @madrid_spots is kind of a pisstake really with the "spots" they post haha!
