normal backside. how the fuck do people do this trick without the board flipping? i suck
-
i figured it out one day
then the next day i tried, and i always end up making it flip with my back foot. pressure flip! now i can look up to nate and shit
-
you know how you pop for pop shuvs? you don't really pop for 360 shuvs but beware like double flips fuck up your kickflips 360 shuvs fuck up your shuvs
-
but i want to pop them...
-
you ever watch grims impossible video? its the same basic idea if you can learn impossibles ala matt allan you can learn 360 shuvs
-
set youre feet up like you are going to do a inward heelflip, scoop youre back foot a little hard then a regular pop shove and try to keep pressure on youre front foot so the board rotates around youre front foot,,,,,setting your front foot in heelflip position will help the board stay flat so it wont flip. now if i could only find a method for my tre flops then i would be phsyched!
-
I think it's just an ollie impossible but your front foot is closer to the board and more shuv than scoop. It's hella easy for me cause I use to do impossibles. However, I don't do em or ever will really. That's just me.
Just think pop shuv but shuv harder.

My friend gave me a couple of tips that really helped me out a bunch. One is to put your backfoot a little more forward than you usually would for most tricks- kind of in the crease where the tail goes flat. All back foot flickery, keep your front foot centered on the board- you don't really have to do much with it besides keep it over the middle- this helps keep it from flipping over. That shit helped me, but maybe its because I had something else going on that he saw when helping me that I didn't.
-
I can't do em for shit but it really is a faster pop shovit.
i can do em nollie and they feel good and they're not that hard. switch is also not too hard. those'll help you out with switch tre's too.
-
i can do them fakie and nollie both ways but they just feel dumb
i want them normal and thats it
-
Set up your feet like the way you would for an ollie
As you pop, pop and shove the board hard (NOT SCOOP)
The board should spin and not flip, which is what you want
If the board flips, it means you're scooping it too much
Catch and land
I know it's not the best tutorial, so study Chima's sequence above.
-
put your back foot on the other side of the board, like the opposite of 3 flip, it tends to not go primo as much
-
This is the time when you wish Lotti was around...
That Chima thing looks like an impossible to me. I think it takes a brian lotti type to do that right.
-
Definitely an impossible. Look at the 5th frame.
-
its a 360 shove
-
feet flat on board.
suck your knees in together.
pretend to try an impossible.
-
I just do it like a three flip except put more emphasis on popping and always keep your front foot close to the board to stop it from flipping.
-
i keep my front foot higher to the nose and keep the front foot straight.

-
its a 360 shove

No.
-
That is a 360 shuv for sure.
The 5th frame looks like an impossible? No. It dosnt because his back foot is not touching the board...nice observation though...i geuss.
It doesn't matter whether you think his foot is touching the board or not. Chima scooped that like an impossible - it rotated around his back foot; he moves his front foot completely out of the way. When people do 360 shove-its they pop instead of scoop and leave their front foot there to control the rotation of the board. It's a flat spin, as opposed to an impossible which is between flat and end-over-end. The 360 shove that Gino does over the grate at flushing meadows is a perfect example.

chima did a real gnarley one down this huge garden gap here in Australia. hes got them on lock.
-
360 pop shove it:
think regular pop shove it, however after you scoop/pop the tail hard, point your front foot down to keep the board level. you will not get a lot of pop doing this and you wont be able to do it over anything using this method, but it works. it's an ugly trick, for sure. unless you're gino.
-
set up like i heelflip, thats what gino does
-
who is gino?
-
welsh had a stylish 360 shov in free your mind, perhaps the slomo button wil help out.
*puts free your mind in the dvd player*
-
put your front foot right on the bolts and scoop it but dont follow it with your back foot. i learned trying impossibles

over the flushing grate and the pipe in yeah right is the best one ive seen to date
-
i can get close and it never flips its all in foot position
-
360 shoves are quite easy on a really smooth surface, like good marble, because then the board just slides a bit under you. Hard wheels come in handy too in that case. Careful though that your board doesnt half flip. Fuck that.
360 pop shoves are a different case though. But i dont see the point in doing one of those if you could pop a mean ol 360 flip as well.
-
i gotta friend who always does them against people in skate with no pop down something its such a cool a trick but if you cant pop its such a cheap move
-
When I do it, I push my foot up so it hangs off almost as much as a heelflip, but not quite that far.
