I just watched http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qkt7qUQDt0Y&mode=related&search= and a couple of other vids of him and i just can't take his skating serious. The songs he has for each part aswell make it sound like his skating is all just a joke. I mean his arms always look really strange and he does all these wierd ass sketchy tricks which look soo bad! Just wondering if his sponsors actually take him serious and whether he is serious when doing a part cause just doesn;t seem like it. especially with all the gay ass rap stuff he does!

I don't understand the "taking his skateboarding serious" thing... I mean, he takes skateboarding seriously enough to skate, as do we all, but beyond that skateboarding is completely subjective. It's just hard for me to hate on someone's particular way of skating... not saying that there aren't people I especially enjoy watching, but hating on the way he waves his arms? It's all style... as sketch or as clean as someone may be, I think it's all good.
I just think it's strange to hate on some skaters for being clones of other skaters (not in this thread, but others), while at the same time hating on someone who undoubtedly skates differently. I'm not trying to make anyone think like me, I just can't relate to arguments against a particular style (though I'm the first to have favorite styles on my own lists).
Anyway, I think his parts are fun to watch... I think he's a good person, too. Eccentric, no doubt, but he seems alright. Not to mention, he isn't getting rich off of skateboarding, so it's hard to hate him too much for finding a way into sponsorship.

I've always liked Nate and it seems like he has overcome more than most to become a pro skater. My only beef is when he calls on his army to bash people or to overun forums. That's a little silly for a dude who is nearing thirty.
Style is subjective but anyone who loves skateboarding is cool by me.

When I lived in Portland around 93-94 I would see this kid downtown all the time. He'd come hit up some streets spots with my crew and he was allways the nicest kid. Pressure flips were on the way out at the time so he started shifting his front foot into the heel position before he popped them to try to trick us into thinking they were inward heels (refer to the picture above). Some people believed him. I didn't. Anyways. I guess my point is that he's well known for a trick he was embarassed doing growing up. I guess he got over it and now he's famous because of it. I have to give him props for having the courage to be different.

as well there is the flip side where the polarity has been brought to the paradigm that some of us might never have been exposed to Heroin or drinking in large amounts if it were not for skating but I doubt that ,for every city is filled with real life drugs are a part of that and we will all see it. Skating helps us grow up fast and to see the real world at a young age , We lean long before most it is nothing but con artist peddlers parasites artist gamblers demigods and the over all view of the Deasise to this world known as man kind. We plunder we kill we over fish we destroy the air water and soil we fiber optically connect every ego to every egger impulse and we polish even the most dullest dreams with these dollar bill gold plated fantasy’s till ever man becomes an inspiriting empire they become there own god and where can we go from there? We as skaters have had the foresight and the view with on damaged eyes from the foot hills of our minds to see that there is no point in building a chemical compound made of carbon and Addams to be a slave to metal coffin on the interstate. We have been blessed to know that there is much more to living than sit coms bullshit

yo able aka nate, yo man the pic,s of blue tile psu parking ramp r rad , u know the pipes in there had Asbestos on them right. That shit was crazy they had warning stickers on them, it was nuts my boy david polly and me got busted for skating there once by the psu campus bull dyke cop , she told us we had to give her our boards david was not having it he tossed his board up into the pipes and the asbestos started coming down like snow off the pipes I covered my face with my tee and ran for the exit door As THE rent a dyke chased us with her shirt over her face and a can of mace in hand Dave was on foot and told me we should spilt up, I skated to the st Marys academy hi school and hid in there court yard as David ran tords the caubaele ledges in the park blocks I was freaked out,. I caught the next bus that pulled up to st Mary’s and I ended up way out in Beaverton in some burb from hell, but it beat getting jail time for bio warfare or whatever the fuck u get charged with for making an asbestos cloud over a rent a cop dome , I sure hope that bitch has cancer now and is dead. Fucking PSU had the best spots on campus for when it rained there parking ramps had some butter ledges and that one matt beach gap from hell. Blue tile was rad though that place was the Chris fissile stomping grounds 4 sure. I was stoked we both gave that bitch fake names , I used Jeff petit name all the time when I got busted I hope he never went to p town. Dave was always natas. What up nate. I remember Blue Tile was rad but wasn't aware of the asbestos (Damn!) Umm, you know I really don't remember very much from Portland. Jon Hardy sounds familiar but I don't know. I remember a dude named Will who had crazy dreads who did crazy drugs and skated with Rachmond Chung. I remember Matt Beach and his family running a skate church type thing. I remember skating AROUND Jayme Fortune and him showing up at my school one day .(tualaton High) I remember seeing cardiel skate burnside and I remember getting laid my first time.
But it's been 13 years since I've set foot there and I've done alot of drugs and drank alot of alcohol since then. I was only lucky enough to live there for a year and a half. But it was pretty much the greatest year and a half ever. Maybe when I visit this summer I'll remember more.
