Title: hardflip el toro
Post by: 03harriso on June 17, 2007, 07:50:45 AM
rumour going around that Dave Bachinsky has done it. i doubt it but there is a chance seeing as he can hardflip pretty huge stairs to be honest. well if he has he probs wants to keep it really quite and show it in a new vid part of his or sumthin like that.

Post by: peacepappies on June 17, 2007, 10:56:44 AM
i think bachinsky can probably do it. that hardflip in the beginning of his city part is almost the same height, maybe the stair is a bit shorter.

I would like to see it.

instead of destroying it with bulldozers and such,
they should just build a jump to the rail and let the van grind it
Title: Re: hardflip el toro
Post by: WILL on June 17, 2007, 11:17:20 AM
and im pretty sure bachinski would never want to jump down that thing again after the kickflip

He should be. I think everyone is over El fucking Toro.

completely agree.  dont know why everyone hates it so much.  personally, id rather skate something else other than huge ass gaps and rails, but come on, how could you not enjoy watching someone else hardflip a 20.

I can respect someone doing a hardflip down a 20, but its not something I'd want to watch more than once.  Its just a step down from Danny Way doing the mega ramp shit.  Stunt skating doesn't appeal to me.

The spot is just boring. Have you ever typed in "el toro" on youtube? see how many montages are made from the tricks that we've all seen 10 times. Personally id rather watch someone skate wilshire or hollywood when it comes to rails.

Wow dude that was a totally idiotic thing to say... They're all just rails going straight down big stairs. Is the wilshire rail more exciting because of the squareness of it? Hollywood rail exciting becuase of the star studded local? That was a bad way to try to fit in with the general consensus on el toro. Fuck, it's much gnarlier to do something down el toro then those rails. And personally, if some unknown dude gets famous by doing something down it, good for him. It doesn't hurt me. Well, this is what I get for clicking back on this topic, anything related to el toro will always being annoying becuase of peoples completely unfounded opinions on it.

Title: Re: hardflip el toro

as far as i know china is starting a national "skate kamikaze" program enlisting young men to try and do a trick down a 20 stair first try (first time on a skateboard for bonus points too) and after a few million failed attempts (and waisted lives) there is a chance that someone will land a lazerflip benihana down it, but by then phleps is going to be there and shout no grabs and the poor soul is going to get shot on the spot.

if only sheckler knew how good he has it.
