With the constant reinjuring of my knee and my back, I have been forced to find other outlets while I healed up from both. Currently the two things I've picked up is learning how to solder/installing modchips into all of my consoles and other console modding related stuff, and collecting high powered LED flashlights. I'd like to speak on the latter.

"Why?" you might ask. Well, if you do a fair amount of night skating and face the possibility of skate harrassment, shining a superbright cree flashlight into a overly agressive security guard's eyes will render their night vision disabled making it easier to make a getaway or what have you. Also, if you are constantly approached by suspicious crackhead types, then this is like electric mace. Bombing a hill at night? These lights have a hell of a long distance "throw" meaning you'll be able to see cracks/obstacles in your path before it's too late. Find an amazing spot, but it's too dark to skate? You don't need a generator anymore. I think you get the picture. There are smaller models that run on AA or even AAA with varying runtimes, but I really think everyone here should get one.
Well, what do you guys do other than smoke pot, masterbate, and occupy the message board?

I've been making a ton of stencils lately. It started off just doing basic ones that I'd print out, but now I'm designing my own. I'm currently working on a three layer Bowie one.

I usually do some kind of skate side project. Currently I'm working on Southside's new web-site which will be a web magazine style site.
But right now I'm blocked waiting on a few things so just been playing EA Skate.

Trying to get better at Maya and After Effects...
I tried learning maya but kept getting frustrated. I'd be into it for a week, than stop for awhile, than get stoked on it again, in cycles.
Drawing, painting, and other art stuff is what I'm into in my spare time, but that sort of overlaps with school.
Also I like hiking around in the woods, and my school is in a redwood forest, so I can go on short hikes if I have a gap between classes.

I found this ten speed at a flea market for $40 bucks. I think my new fave hobby is biking across the city as fast as fucking possible and coming back home, all in an hour.
I still seriously don't know how to ride the city like most "city regs" do, but unlike them, I don't cut them off only to slow down. I also don't know how to stop and ring my bell properly. All in all I'm a road hazard, but I can sure as hell tell you that most "city regs" have terrible taste in shoes.

I still don't get this whole "cycling lifestyle". I really don't. I swear some people are on their bikes during their day as an excuse to use their cars at night.
I drive my car to work. I ride my bike through the city to get shit done fast. I ride my board to the beer store.
"Urban cyclists" have this thing with having to bike ALL THE FUCKING TIME. We get it. You bike. You can bike to work, across the city and to the beer store. Don't tell me.
Today, I cut off a guy on my bike because he was going slow. He insisted on cutting me back off to go slower in front of me. I realized he had a helmet, an ankle strap, a water bottle, and sunglasses. Sure I was the Slipknot Kid at the skatepark, but it was no reason to slow both of us down.
I always graced cyclists as not being as bad as asshole drivers. I guess there's just as many.

bikers in the road are 3.6 times the assholes. and seem to think they need to wear aerodynamic body condoms. i stay on the side or sidewalk, i know where i'm not wanted.

I forgot to add that pedestrians are just as bad as well. I almost drove into a woman crossing in the middle of Bloor (busy ass street), all the while with her calling me a "Fucking Bitch". I guess I have long hair, so I'll take that. But if there was a law where you were allowed to hit and just drive/bike/skate/run away because you were obviously right, right on the spot, that very fucking second, and the victim was proven guilty seconds after being hit, and then fined for damaging your car/bike/board/foot, I would fucking love the world.

All this bike talk really makes me want to get a bike, but I'm really just being nostalgic about biking in japan. San Diego seems the worst place to bike, and I'm not the type to put my bike on a rack on my car to go somewhere to bike. That just seems so gay.

I disagree, I wake up everyday for work at 5:15am and even on weekends can't sleep past 8am. I don't know why, but with that schedule I developed quite the hatred of sleep. I feel I don't need it and I'm missing something when I sleep.
