How fucking good is this video? it came like what 6 years ago? and if it came out today it'd still be relevant. Everyones bangers are still on par with the shit coming out today. Im glad i have an actual copy of it because it seems to get taken off the internet really fast.

shits the bomb
rowley kills santa monica triple set and fs 180 nosegrind wilshire was a keeper

that was the best 180 nosegrind ever
-
trick for trick, one of the best videos ever made. they go to all the famous spots or make spots famous and throw down the gnarliest tricks done. that was pretty much bastien's first part, imagine if he was still filming all the time and still hungry... arto, geoff and appleyard's parts are just amazing. the music fit each rider's parts nicely and the filming is done really well. i tend to like less "hammerish" videos but i will definitely say this is a really really good video.
-
the VHS tape is yellow.
That alone makes the video a keeper.
-
it's just too good. sorry = best skate dvd I've ever bought. no one can fuck with arto's epic 2 part bowie section
-
I remember the first time I saw it and just being blown away. I also remember being fooled when Ali bails on that ollie off the bridge into the river, I thought he was about to die or something.
-
I have that video.
Makes me want to put a vcr in my room.
Geoff and Arto fucking kill that vid
-
one of the best videos of this generation. its crazy how well respected a company can be and still sell 0 boards.
-
That vid's fucking great.
Arto, Geoff, and Ali all have great parts.
-
When I had only been skating for a few months, I rented Sorry, Man Down, and Baker2g at the same time from this shop that used to be by me.
It was the first time I saw any of them, and the only video I had seen before watching them was some random late nineties 411 and Tony Hawk's Trick Tips vol.2.
Needless to say I was pretty impressed, to this day those are still three of my favorite videos.
And THPS2 is the greatest one of the series, if for no other reason than the inclusion of a Philly level.

school 2 was good too

The man working at the extreme sports store suggested I buy this video instead of RDS/FSU/2002, he was right.

your local shop lets you rent videos?
Must be a pretty sweet shop
-
Fakie Inward heel aside, Tom Penny's footage is a pathetic embarrassment.

his effortless and textbook frontside flips amaze me but otherwise, he bores me...nothing after menikmati has impressed me.

Sadly it shut down a couple years back, but it was great while it lasted.
The owners were really cool guys, even when I was just an annoying kid.
One of my fondest memories was this one time my mom caught me getting high before school in eighth grade, and she didn't want me going to school stoned so she dropped me off at the shop. I remember it was the week that THUG came out, and I just played it with them all day and watch skate videos while everybody else was stuck in school.
Reason one of a million why local shops are better than mall ones. You think Zumiez would be down with babysitting stoned middle schoolers?

you'd be suprised, the official drug policy is that just you need to come down four hours before work, its in the hand book
-
me and my two best friends were fucking blasted like two weeks ago and we popped it in the VCR and it seemed like it took FOREVER to rewind but it was worth it
-
the dvd came with Really Sorry
-
I remember everyone on here hating on this video when it came out. Too many bigspin front boards! Not enough lines!
It's an epic modern video for sure, along with Yeah Right! and Menikmati and stuff.
It is a bit heavy on the single trick clips though.
-
My favourite parts from that video belong to Arto and Geoff. Fucking ridiculous levels of skating.
-
rowleys part, appleyards part.

i have a similar story. this was July 1990, and i had been out all night with some buddies. i was on a coke binge and hadnt seen my wife and kids in 3 days.this was just around the time things were getting really rocky between me and nicole. i decided to come home, but only after i had "detoxed" by smoking a couple of bowls. it was 3 am. nicole was up which meant trouble. she began this whole rant, calling me less than a man and a horrible father to our children. needless to say, i wasnt having it. so i beat the living shit out of her. then i turned on Coach, which happened to be on, and passed out for the night.
-
hahaha, ohh OJ
-
One of my favorite videos ever. Appleyard, Rowley and Arto's parts are the bomb. Extremely Sorry better have a last part with 2 songs by the same artist.
-
i fukking loved this vid, copied my mates vcr version of it when he loaned me it, soo fuking sick, not a bad part in it at all, im saving this gem fer when i go back home this Xmas, fukk yes
i showed Boulala's part for part of my English presentation i did on skateboarding, the volume was messed up and my teacher managed to fix it just has he does that flip FS nosepick on that brick bank and shouts "FUUUUUUUCCKKK" haha, she thought it was hilarious, along with his fake boobies etc. everyone else loved the slams, non skaters of course.
-
Sorry and Chomp on This were luckily my first videos. 2002 was a great year for skateboarding. I really miss the old days of Flip. They used to be my favorite company hands down, with the mushroom and Cheech and Chong graphics. Now that shit is made specifically for Zumiez.
Appleyard, Boulala, Chalmers, Glifberg, Rowley, Salabanzi, Saari, Penny.... only thing bad in that video is that aging piece of shit Johnny Rotten.
-
I'm not huge on the single trick banger movies, but sorry was great and really sorry was also pretty good. I should bust that DVD out.
-
did anybody else think all of artos part was gonna be really good trick regular, then that exact trick/exact spot but switch? amazing way to start a part, i was bummed that it ended. until i saw the second part... landing sooo far past the steps at macba 4... i love it.
and ohh geoff rowley, gnarliest motherfucker on a skateboard ever in my opinion. i don't think i'm alone on that one, either. and i think the fs 180 nosegrind at wilshire still owns that spot.
-
this and WHL were the first legit videos i ever watched and it blew my mind.... ide watch appleyards part all day long, then go skate and realize how much i suck....
-
while on the topic of sorry, some random andrew gordon footage i came across
post breakdown (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Co4qDaqBvAg&feature=related)

he was always really amazing to watch at tampa am and really mediocre on film. the quality of his street footage versus the park footage in that clip is a clear testament to that..
-
what about appleyard's part in really sorry? it blew my mind and i realized that everyhing apples does is amazing.
-
Sorry is epic

Yep, I was wondering who else noticed this, starts out with the two lines at the same spot with the opposite tricks, then lyke
nollie 5-0 180 out0then fakie ollie switch 5-0 180.
kickflip front board, switch kickflip front board.
etc etc
-
first video i had, I think i watched it about 12 times the first day
-
I fucking hate this video with a passion. Horrible music, horrible editing. Sure its gnarly but its so fucking boring. Stair after stair, rail after rail, all done to some played out piss poor music.
-
I love this vdeo. I have never really been a fan of one trick bangers, but these guys all did it with so much style. So much finesse.
arto, Geoff, and apples shine so much in this video, I remember the anticipation being so big back then. That was appleyards breakthrough part, people knew he was good, but they understood it after that. his nollie flip 5050 on clipper always stands out in my mind, effortless.
-
really sorry was even better
the line where arto does sw flip then fakie bs flip down the set is the best no-push line EVER
-

its a fs half cab flip, normally I woudn't correct sombody, but in your case, it has to be done.

I thought it was rad that except for the kf frontboards the other tricks were at the same spot...so sick...My personal favorite trick was the super long back 5-0 180 out that Arto does...the editing of the trick with the music and the pop out, and just damn...the whole flick was superb...
-
damn, some of you kiddies with high post counts haven't been skating that long if Sorry was the first video you watched or owned...
-
first video i ever bought. i watched it more than actual TV

loved the video but this
(http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o63/shoelessl13/geoff_thrashercover_sep01.jpg)
was the single worst filmed trick in skate video history. don't even know if he filmed it, but i've hated fred mortagne ever since

that was posted a year ago, i mean where the FUKK did he go? i heard rumors of him quitting skating to play guitar or some shit like that, when i thought that was true it made seeing his video parts kinda sad because they always got me soo hyped to skate (especially Reall sorry) then he like just DISSAPPEARED and got dropped from FLIP and Etnies you know
-
highlights
apple kf bs 5-0 clipper
rowley fs lip in the rain
the random danny way trick in rowleys part
arto doing a line at a double set that involved ss tre
in the credits there is a nothanks section and the monkey gives the middle finger
-
About a year after I started skating, I was at the shop trying to choose between this and PLWHL. I'm so glad the shop dude suggested this one.
-
only thing bad in that video is that aging piece of shit Johnny Rotten.
:(
this was the first video i ever watched as an impressionable mongo pushing youth, i'm sure it has a huge impact on the fact that i'm still skateboarding years later.
-

Same here! haha. But yeah, this is one of my favorite videos ever. And although most people seems to have quite a bit of hate for Flip recently on here, If someone gave me the option to either see Fully Flared or Extremely Sorry (it would be tough but) I'd probably go with flip. :o
-

so glad? i dont think you would have gone wrong with either one. Top to bottom, sorry was better, but pj's part in whl was groundbreaking.

I like the Sex Pistols as much as anyone, but as he gets older that shit definately seems like more of an act. The commentary seemed unique and kind of cool at first, but it gets old after while.
-
arto's part is probably my favorite part of all time. just worked so well with the songs, and arto is just the shit anyways
-
everyone had good parts.... im glad i watched that video... i was watching shit prior to that, like globe opinion and tony hawk trick tips.....
thank you flip....
-
after reading through this I had to go and watch it, its been a while since I last watched it and I love it just as much as I did the first time
-
I fucking hated Sorry.
I fucking hate Johnny Rotten too.
Really Sorry was their apology for putting out such a shitty video before.
Doesn't matter - no one is buying Flip boards.
