when i was growing up, the fake style was "palms out" a la jeremy klein. nowadays its the "turkey back" thing, a la wenning and pappalardo. its kind of pathetic how many kids today try to run this shit.

I'd say about half of the people who skate in my area try to run the bent back knee steeze/ the "I need to absorb the impact of this 1-foot-tall ledge" when they ride away from everything. Needless to say, I'm pretty fucking sick of it.

Seems like 95% of these clones are faking it hard. I'm almost 25 now so I can't fake anything like these little jokers. I'm stuck with my style and I don't care or really think about it, unless i'm trying some new switch shit and my arms look like their casting wizard spells or something. Its sad to see all of these people having an identity crisis at the skatepark. Its like there dressing up and playing rambo after watching first blood, this time its a skate video and there pretending there the lead character. They either got the DGK shirt and some bogus new era hat or some plain jane shit to disguise all the gear mommy bought them. Honesty, I feel sorry for these Quazi Moto freaks and I still make fun of them on the regular directly to their faces because they deserve it.

I love when kids fake the shock like they landed a monster off their below knee high boardslide. It only makes them look dumb, pretty entertaining if you ask me.
I also love the over exaggerated drop-in that really little kids do, this probably can't even be considered fake steez but It makes me chuckle.

i hate the fake "relaxed" style that SO many kids are trying to pull off.
"spread eagle" 360 flips also suck.
i cant figure out this faking of style anyways, i have enough trouble with the trick, let alone thinking about how my arms might look or something.

I've got that stee too and I kinda hold my left arm a little wanky. It all stemmed from a bad arm break/skating in a cast for a long time. And I can't shake that shit no matter what I do.
